I’ve heard stories of Microsoft support team members suggesting cracks when they couldn’t activate the system the legal way.

At least in the first years, most of the games released on the Epic Games Store were DRM-free, in the strictest sense in that you could move the folder from PC to PC without needing the launcher, like on GOG. You can see the data as of today here.
It’s not about engagement. As the court documents have shown, they want to increase the number of users and then see how many of those convert to paying customers.
This. The court documents from the trials vs Google and Apple even showed that they divide how much they pay the publisher for the giveaway by the number of users acquired to determine the cost per user.
Telegram too requires that you verify your phone number, right? So I took that as a given.
Assuming you have a computer to get on here, you could use an Android emulator like BlueStacks.
Given its in-court defense of Google, Mozilla is clearly complicit and its products should be boycotted. It’s a shame it’s the only alternative to Chromium, but I’m perfectly fine with the US government cracking down on Google, no matter the consequences for Firefox. The monopoly must be disrupted for the benefit of every internet user.
In the previous post, Lee also claimed the app may violate Signal’s GPL license, but GPL allows for commercial use.
Battery-powered is never reliable though.
I’m not seeing any mentions of new sanctions at the link. It talks about a crypto network having been disrupted.
Saber has a number of studios across the world but that game was developed by the Saint Petersburg studio. The same is true for the other games on the engine: MudRunner and SnowRunner, as well as World War Z.
To be fair, the world has always been behind on its support for Ukraine and opposition to Russia. In many ways, it’s what got us where we are now, as America elected Obama over McCain, Germany had close ties to Putin and built the pipeline, the Sochi Olympics were not boycotted, the invasions of Georgia and Crimea were ignored, and so on.
Even now as Ukrainians call for Russian works to be boycotted, they become top sellers, as evidenced by video games like Atomic Heart and Space Marine 2.
How would it help if they’re in Russia? The government would just take it for themselves.
Its use by neo-Nazis is well-documented. Perhaps it’s not a 100% sure sign on its own, as accurately noted by the ADL, but combined with the Black Sun, there’s no other interpretation.
OK, but what’s with the article author sporting the Black Sun shirt and Thor’s hammer necklace so beloved by Nazis?
So how do you start or join a secret chat on Windows?
The story of his persecution by the Russian government reiterated throughout the article was exposed to be a total lie last month. He secretly traveled to Russia over the years, including just before Telegram was unblocked in Russia. Everything points to his secret cooperation with the government.
Why would I trust a random cropped screenshot from a bad faith subreddit about hating everything related to Epic? Either of us can run Process Monitor, filter by the desired process, and see if their claims have merit. They don’t.
The article and post I linked already explain the Steam and process list parts. How in your opinion does any program that needs to check if a process is running do that? Where would you expect Epic to get your Steam friends list if you’re asking it to import your Steam friends?
