    Why do they keep this up, knowing all (most) of them will fail?

      It costs 500 bucks to make one rocket and 100k to intercept it. It is economical warfare. And if any of them goes through, it is good propaganda(look how strong we are).

      It also tests the capabilities of your opponent. Where do they have antiair, what is their antiair capacity. At some point, they might be able to reach saturation, which means that if you launch more than x rockets at the same time, the extra rockets wont get intercepted.

      It is important to not underestimate Hezbollah. Unlike Hamas, which was blockaded, Hezbollah has enough people and weaponry to be dangerous.

      These are “dumb” rockets akin to mortars. No guidance to change their course. They are very cheap.

      Those iron dome rockets on the other hand cost big money.

      They are just looking to drain money and iron dome supply, not to hit anything.

      It only takes 1 rocket that iron dome failed to intercept to murder innocent civilians in the towns these rockets are aimed at. That’s why.
