      Ok. Which is a current iPhone owner more likely to buy.

      1. The thing that ties into their current services and is a device which they are familiar with to help their kid when questions arise.
      2. Save ~$200 to deal with another service and have to do more work to support the device when questions arise.

      The juice isn’t worth the squeeze before we even get into how many years of updates that $200 phone is gonna get vs the cheapest iPhone.

        Must be nice to live on a world where $250 on something your kid will likely break is no big deal. And with Apple’s approach to repairability and how hard kids are on things, that iPhone isn’t lasting any longer than an Android. (Not that other devices do great with repairability either.)

        And if your kid needs that much help with their phone, they are not ready for it. If you need to track your kid, an AirTag is an even cheaper option.

        Stop sucking Apple’s cock. You sound like Tim Cook, and I’d like to beat him over the head for being such a greedy asshole. And I am writing this on my iPhone, so don’t accuse me of Google fandom. People can make their own choices for their own family.

            I despise any corporate apologists and fanboys. The fact that people complain about interoperability issues tells you many reject your idea.

            The way Apple is going, my next phone will probably be a FairPhone that operates Android.

              I made a perfectly logical argument for why people tend to stay within the same ecosystem…

              I would expect the same if the situation were reversed and an Android owner was buying a phone for their kid and the iPhone was a little cheaper.

              It has nothing to do with being an apologist or a fan of Apple. Your blind rage is hurting your reasoning capacity.
