      You could convince Elon to do this by telling him it would be terrible for internet preservation.

        If that doesn’t do it, I’m sure the fact that he can save about $5 per year to keep the domain name would.

          Tell him it’ll be quicker and cheaper than flying to the data centers and pulling out cables by hand before hiring a random moving company to move servers with HDDs in them.

            I did an internship in a small data center. That hurt to read. Made me miss the job too.

      part of me wishes they did that, so maybe other websites would stop with the tweet linking and making entire articles around them
