YouTube Not Accessible Across Russia

The YouTube video-hosting site and app have stopped being accessible across Russia, thousands of Internet users in the country said online on August 8.

AFAIK they didn’t have to watch ads since the sanctions took effect, because Google wasn’t allowed to monetize them.
