I was planning a trip to the USA to visit their parks, which seem to be amazing, but due to recent daily shenanigans involving immigrants, I’ll have to post pone the visit
With that in mind, I’m looking for alternatives, any recommendations? I have 30 days and I’d prefer to be limited to 1 airplane ticket if visiting more than one park in this period. Multiple train connections or other transport alternatives are fine
Spain! Spain has great country side roaming. You can visit the deserts very well know westerns were filmed on. Run up on one of the highest peaks of the EU. Eco tourism here is great.
Banff, Jasper, Yoho and the kooteneys. Mountains, hot springs, mountain biking, hiking, climbing and skiing in season. Canada is happy to welcome you.
Or the opposite side for a completely different experience. Gros Morne, Cape Breton highlands and kejimkujik in Nova Scotia. In between visit fortresses and national historic sites as the east coast is full of Canada’s founding history.
New Zealand. The whole country feels like a national park especially the south island. However, you would need to rent a car to get to and between a lot of places.
I want to hike to Mordor
One does not simply hike to Mordor 🙄
It can be a treacherous hike in bad weather! You can arrange for bus pickup because it’s a through hike, but if the weather is so bad, they’ll email you and tell you the bus is canceled. Absolutely worth hiking if you’re ever in NZ!
Please tell me the bus has giant eagles painted on the side.

Iguaçu Falls, on the border between Brazil and Argentina. Nearby you could also visit Itaipu Dam, formerly largest in the world.
Going a bit into the same Brazilian state of Paraná, there’s also the amazing Vila Velha park, with incredible sandstone formations.Gonna do some patriotic promotion and mention NewYorkTimes and Telegraph articles about where I Live as there is a national park here.
Which parks were you planning to visit in the US?
