  • If you’re in debt and it’s affecting your mental health and making you contemplate ending it all, don’t worry, there is a way to get your life back again. The following info is about the UK and N. Ireland, but it is highly likely similar info is available wherever you happen to be:

StepsChange is a charity that acts as a middleman between you and your debtors. The charity will negotiate reasonable and specially-tailored monthly payments for your debtors, which - depending on your income and savings and all that - will not cripple you every month. You can pay off what you owe and still have money left to life your fuckin’ life. Yes it’s a charity, but they don’t give you free money, you pay your own debts, but you just do it in a way that isn’t ruining you.

I’ve seen this work with multiple family members, so I can 100% vouch for StepsChange and the dream-like positive change it made in their lives. It takes what amounted to many hundreds of pounds a month and reduces it to like 30. It’s insane how much they can help you. Please contact them if you’re in financial trouble.

Similar charities must exist elsewhere, so look into it if you’re not from these parts. There is always hope.

I love that Linux exists, but I really don’t appreciate the bullshit PR speak about how regular users can switch from Windows with little-to-no friction. The second something doesn’t work as expected, even a minor thing, they’ll be at a complete loss about how to even investigate the issue, let alone correct it. Windows competency doesn’t transfer to Linux for even the most basic under-the-hood stuff. The less honest you are about that, the fewer people will try Linux a second time, and the more people will write off the entire endeavour as being the domain of computer experts/enthusiasts.

  • As in real life, it’s pretty sound advice to ignore, block or otherwise disengage from trolls and other forms of belligerents. Even in the '90s when I first started using the internet, the phrase of the day was “don’t feed the trolls”. But people just can’t help themselves. They will even reply saying “I know you’re a troll, but…”.

The Steam forums are a great example, where every other thread is a fake “is this game woke??” screed. The fact that you can be rewarded for being a cunt there with jesters (which translate into points that can be spent to buy profile items) just makes it a thousand times worse. You get ‘paid’ to be a troll on Steam. It’s insanity.

The only anti-troll weapon that works or is needed is oblivion. Let their steaming turd of a post curdle in solitude. Don’t even downvote it. Being downvoted is a victory for them, an acknowledgement that they exist and that they’ve gotten your attention and that they’ve annoyed you. Shadowban them from your mind. Block them so that no future posts of theirs will infect your screen. Report them so mods can remove/ban them. Just don’t engage directly with the post or the user. Don’t say “blocked and reported” in the troll’s thread/post. Just do it silently.

  • Imagine being any of those initials and thinking Trump is your guy. Not just Trump, but Vance, MTG, Mike Johnson, and the rest of those creepy juiceless cunts, at least 80% of whom are self-hating and in the closet while simultaneously gutting hard-won protections for LGBTQ+ people and convincing their voters you’re all paedophiles and groomers. Will there be much room for being non-straight in a post-Project 2025 America?

May the leopards take their sweet time with you cretinous sellouts. Your preferred conservative tax policy isn’t gonna deflect the bigots’ bullets when Christofascists are in power, and your votes for these evil bastards essentially represent the bullets you’re buying and earmarking for your fellow non-straights. Hence, excruciating leopard deaths all around 🖕

  • Candace just might be the dumbest member of the rogues’ gallery of dumb right-wing chancers that pollute our culture. A genuine imbecile. Makes Dave Rubin seem 50% less cretinous just by being in the same room as him.

I can understand being locked into a worldview that doesn’t make sense or is immoral, people are weird and easily led. However, if you think Candace Owens is smart and worth following, there’s really no hope for you. You’re basically a Tamagotchi with IBS.

  • He knew her strategy going in, because every media outlet talked about it and everyone in Darneld’s circle would have prepped him on it, but it still worked.

This dude has been a layup this whole time, but everyone has fucked it up, until Kamala & Walz came along. I think everyone else expected too much of him and his base, and assumed that simply enumerating his flaws was enough.

Kamala took a much more “show, don’t tell” approach, plucking his strings like a harpist in a mediaeval softcore porno, then standing back and letting the man embody and demonstrate his flaws unabated, laughing at him as he plays out the 3 lines of uncommented JavaScript that govern his emotional life. She could have late-term abortioned a Haitian cat right there on stage and it wouldn’t have made Dundald seem any saner by comparison.

Of course, a debate doesn’t mean all that much at the end of the day. The Dendald Tramp contingent of voters probably don’t have a lot of fence-sitter types who might be moved by it. You’re either all in with that “first image of a black hole” lookin’ motherfucker, or you’re mentally well. But still, history will keep this debate fat and watered for the rest of recorded history. It will be shown to up-and-coming politicians being trained for the stage. It will be a permanent thorn in Drumald’s side and he will ruminate on it for the rest whatever remains of his pointless life. And it will hopefully be listed in the textbooks as one of the key turning points in the electoral win of the first female United States president.
