Mark Cuban is the closest I can think of. Most of his wealth came from stocks he received when he sold his dot com business to Yahoo. He’s invested a bunch after that. Now he does some decent things like his at cost prescriptions. He definitely seems personable and understands that he is extremely lucky.

Diseases occur naturally, new diseases occur naturally. We know the first cases were in Wuhan China. There are a number of theories on how “patient 0” became infected. (Bat to human transfer, lab grown, pig to human, other dead animal to human) But patient 0 is not even known, early COVID spread extremely fast and a source cannot be pinpointed. Knowing the exact source could help with prevention of future new diseases (shutting down wet markets or closing labs). But with the speed of the spread, death rate, and chaos it brought, it will likely never be known.

“Will someone pay.” Without knowing an exact source we don’t know if a human is at fault or if there was just the perfect storm of natural events. mRNA vaccines are a new technology that was fast tracked thanks to COVID. As a society we will benefit from its ability to develop new vaccines faster. Many nations/regions were forced to reevaluate their disaster relief plans because of COVID. If a future event occurs the lessons learned from COVID should help mitigate.

It might be easier to create a list of things he knows amazingly a lot about.

NAEH estimes there were 970,806 people who experience homeless at least one night in 2023. That would require an average home building cost of $46,000 per homeless person if we assume all are permanently homeless. Building costs vary but the national average is about $317,000. I don’t think this amount could “end homelessness” but it could make a dent.

Went to my mom’s work in high school, don’t remember what I did then either, (my highschool had a bomb threat that day so classes were cancelled but I still got marked absent for the day).

I don’t think that’s it. Citizens of the USA don’t care about Trump’s felonies at all, that does not affect anyone’s day to day life (except Trump). USA citizens are looking at bills and expenses that didn’t get better with Biden, and Harris was essentially the same candidate. The hope is maybe Trump will try something different to help.

Most people only really care about 2-3 topics in a federal election. People pick the candidate that aligns with what they believe is important. In the 2 party system that almost never changes because each party has a somewhat unified set of beliefs.

At least we’re Free™ or something.
