I love my Steam deck for this reason. I started out using it to replace my switch and now I’m easing my way into learning Linux.

I don’t blame him for not wanting to do entire soundtracks anymore and I’m glad he’s going to keep making music.

My heart aches for this woman. She tried to speak out against gun violence and these assholes twisted her story for their own sick ends is beyond reprehensible. I don’t understand how shit like this is legal. It’s a double punch against justice in that it’s not only a blatant lie but it serves to suppress others from speaking out.

I don’t know why this triggered my brain but I can’t stop imagining this in my head and laughing my ass off.

My personal one is “Dumb fuck in a truck.”

Well that is certainly a comfort and gives more credit towards not trying and sentencing teens like they’re adults.

I do wonder if the reasoning behind trying teen shooters as adults is to ensure that their record sticks into adulthood. When you are charged as a juvenile your records are expunged upon turning 18. I certainly would want to make sure that this person could never legally own a gun again.

I once got a call from friends at ten in the morning asking if I could go to my goddaughter’s mother’s Day brunch at the daycare so she wouldn’t be alone. Apparently mom couldn’t get the day off and grandmall was supposed to go but grandmall fell sick that morning. So I was the hail Mary call and I just happened to be on PTO that day. You’re damn right I dropped everything to go have juice and cookies and make bracelets with my girl. Point is that everyone who can and gives a shit is already involved in childcare.

I recently bought the Cat Quest trilogy. I played the first two on my switch but the third one just came out and Steam did the whole bundle at a discount so I snagged it. Been enjoying replaying the first two before I start on the new one.

I think the idea of listing every job you’ve ever had on a resume is very outdated and anyone who still holds this belief is showing their age and privilege. This might have been relevant when you could expect to work for the same company for 20 plus years and maybe only change jobs 2 or more times in your life but that ain’t the case now (and hasn’t been for decades now). Hell I’ve lost count of how many companies I’ve worked for. I even completely changed professions after turning 40. It would be absolutely ridiculous to list any job experience that isn’t directly related to the skills needed for the job your applying for.

There’s a house in my neighborhood flying both of those flags and the Confederate flag. It’s mind boggling.

And the whole time these men have no realization that they’re being controlled this way. You control the women so you can control the men.

I believe it. I looked into it this past year because the company I currently work for has mediocre health insurance. I honestly don’t know how anyone can afford any of the current public options. In theory these options should be better but in practice they’re just as rigged as everything else.

These people are so fucking stupid and greedy. They are so busy chasing ways to steal more money that they haven’t even thought out all the possible outcomes of their actions. They want to gut employee sponsored healthcare by removing tax benefits that companies enjoy by providing healthcare all while taxing the average person for paying for healthcare. But unless they can do away with ACA people will just start moving to public options. I mean why stick with the shitty plan your company provides if you’re just going to get taxed on it all anyways. So the working people get screwed and companies will lose the largest bit of leverage they have over employees. Sounds like a winning plan to me! (/s)

Well that was certainly eye opening, and not in a good way. Begs the question of how the party has ever been able to unite such a diverse group of delusional and hateful people with out the whole group completely thunder-doming themselves.

Shout out to all my fellow latchkey/free babysitter folks out there. I still resent that I never had a “real” summer vacation growing up.

I work mornings in the office and drive home on lunch break to wfh the rest of the day and all my best solutions pop into my head in that drive home. It’s great because it’s a quick break from work to get the brain percolating and then I can jump right into solving mode as soon as I get home.

I’m torn about this because I have good mentors but I genuinely want to try to learn how to code and not just have the answers given to me right away. At least I’m only working on volunteer project so being slow isn’t really holding anyone else up.

Well if they somehow manage to get rid of food labels I guess I’ll just die. I always imagined it would be my food allergies that get me in the end.
