If you are in the E.U. , California, or Illinois you may be able to delete your profiles. There are no guarantees as there are numerous lawsuits about this. Its probably been scraped by LLMs anyway.
For reddit, just slowly unfollow subs, post Loren Impsum nonsense, then stop posting/commenting. No one is giving up data they don’t have to.
Data is most valuable when fresh, so if you give them something new make sure it’s rubbish.
Also, do not stay signed into things. Facebook, Reddit, Google etc. You are easily tracked when you’re signed in by Facebook pixel and a bunch more.
The less you give them, the less valuable you are. You still have a profile though.
Bulk deletes are often detected and reverted. This may or may not be illegal in your jurisdiction, but as the likelihood of punishment is low, companies still do it. The E.U. has sporadically been good at enforcing fines. It’s still a cost of business though.
Good luck, and remember, Purple Monkey Dishwasher
That’s an option though you do risk Bacillus Cereus, and an extended unpleasant potty break.
Serious Eats has a good recipe https://www.seriouseats.com/light-tender-potato-gnocchi-recipe
There a many ways to make them, this one uses eggs for instance. I rarely use them.
Tough gnocchi are often from using a high protein flour, or overworking the dough which strengthens gluten and releases more amylopectin from the potatoes. Using sweet potatoes works well.
Just cook extra and freeze it if you have the space. Freezing actually makes it better, besides the normal starch retrogradation there is also water sublimation. Win/win
Cilantro is delicious, one of my favorite flavors. Caraway seed is horrible stuff, I can’t even say why, it’s just bad. Brussel sprouts taste like metal, as does canned pineapple, fresh pineapple less so especially if it is grilled.
I wish I got that sensation from Sichuan Pepper that everyone else seems to get. I still love it for its (to me) citrusy flavor.
Supposedly fresh, with a recent date, from different suppliers. I always buy whole and grind as needed.
I have been using them for years so this wasn’t a one time occurrence. Eating them in restaurant dishes is the same. They just don’t seem to do to me what they do to others.
I have bought them supposedly fresh in bulk in markets, and commercially vacuum packed less than a month previously and I do not notice a difference. However, friends coming over for dinner do, with the same peppercorns.
I think I am just not sensitive to it, and I was wondering if there was any prevalence to that.
This would be better for the DeGoogle community, I don’t believe any of these are terribly privacy friendly.
BBC’s iPlayer is only available in the U.K. (or with VPN) and has a lot of tracking. Just one example.
Off the top of my head though I can’t think of any that are based on a persons name. Rod, Chain, Peck, Hogshead etc.
For me SimpleX does everything I need. Unified push would be nice, and would address battery usage. I don’t need or want message sync, so that’s not an issue.
They all have tradeoffs, so it’s just a matter of your priorities. For instance I’m OK with the higher battery drain because it’s not using Google.
For length there is a Smoot https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smoot
Edit: it’s 1.702 metres/ 5’7"
It might depend on the specific Android flavor. I tried that on an old phone, and while I could disable the actual Google search (tapping in the search bar did nothing) I could not remove the search bar. I also could not find a way to have it open my preferred search engine.
She can use a different launcher to get rid of the Google search
Adequate funding and having a chair that isn’t in the back pocket of industry.
Her enforcement is getting a fair bit of push back from the courts though, unsurprisingly mostly Republican appointees.
Lina Khan is awesome
Is that what the whole thing is with jackfruit burgers and pulled jackfruit? They’re using the byproducts?
The one I had in my hotspot did not have a phone number attached. It was provisioned by the IMSI. This plan was cheaper than using my phone as a hotspot. I assumed that there was no phone number so you couldn’t game the system by getting this cheaper deal and popping the Sim into a phone.
“He has a license plate reader, he has facial recognition, he can read IP addresses from your cell phone or watch,” Amanda Bellemere, owner of Brywood Shopping Centre, explained. “He knows who you are basically.”
So you are asking if this can be done? Some providers have data only Sims like what you get in a hotspot, or you could turn on do not disturb.
You can change your IP with a VPN or Tor
