Okay, that makes sense (and thanks for the great explanation!). But, don’t website ads also track you? So if you’re not using an adblocker, can’t you be compromised that way? And wouldn’t a good VPN help with fingerprinting?

Can you please provide any data where Signal has been compromised? I’m not saying that the possibility doesn’t exist, but I’ve certainly never seen one single instance where Signal was compromised, so please do share.

Signal is perfectly fine to use.

Signal would be the best choice, imho. Next best would be SimpleX for android or iOS. The desktop version is currently not great.

Another vote for Mullvad, here. It’s arguably one of the best VPNs out there and at 5 bucks a month, you really can’t go wrong. If you want cheaper than that, you have bigger problems than a VPN.

I dunno. Doesn’t seem like a big deal to me, but your mileage may certainly vary.

No Man’s Sky works great on Linux Mint. I’ve been playing it for a few years via Steam with Proton. Runs flawlessly on my system. Definitely worth checking out proton.db to see if there are any tweaks you may need to make, though. Enjoy! It’s a fantastic game!

To be fair, Matrix has been around a lot longer than Revolt. I remember the early days with Riot - and it was absolutely horrendous. Give Revolt some time, and I think it will improve quite a bit.
