Oracle are the VirtualBox people, right? I just installed that program today to try desktop Linux for the first time. I’m inferring from the comments under this post that Oracle apparently has some sort of negative reputation in the Linux community…? Frankly, I feel like a real troy-returning-with-pizza.jpeg right now.
1·2 years agoI think I first heard of the fediverse from the Shonalika video on Mastodon, which I would’ve seen in 2020. I think I would’ve had some experience browsing Peertube without an account prior to signing up to Kbin, too. But Kbin is my first time having an actual fediverse account. It’s pretty cool!
3·2 years agoIt’s a parody of Dr. Breen’s “Welcome to City 17” speech from the start of Half-Life 2. If you’ve never played Half-Life 2, then it’s a very, very, very strong recommend from me.
