I’m so tired of capitalism.

He’s not embarrassed. It’s not possible. He’s just pumping and dumping the global economy along with his friends and doesn’t give a fuck what happens or what anyone thinks of it.

Can we just get an alarm when Republicans AREN’T self-dealing? I think it’ll be quieter around here that way.

I’m actually surprised the BB is only 90 Hz. I’m not that much of a stickler for it, but I get it.

I actually spend a lot more time on PSVR2 than Index these days, and when I do switch back to Index, I kinda miss some of the features.

If money is no object, I think the current best arrangement is probably something like a Bigscreen Beyond with Audio Strap, Index controllers, and the requisite lighthouses. But that’s about $1600 compared to the PSVR2, which was on sale for $350 over the holidays. PSVR2 games are generally more polished, but you also don’t have the bonkers modding scene like PCVR does. You can run PSVR2 on the PC now, but most of the best features stop working. So there really isn’t a perfect solution.

Isn’t that like exactly why anyone would buy this thing in the first place?

I think it was a legitimately more fun game, and quite a bit more approachable. The production wasn’t quite as polished, but pound for pound I think I had a better time with it.

I remember Immortals: Fenyx Rising looking like a shameless, soulless ripoff of Breath of the Wild. Turned out to be an amazingly fun game that didn’t take itself as seriously as Zelda but had a tremendously satisfying gameplay loop and some really solid humor.

This isn’t that though. This is gonna be some creatively bankrupt trash.

So, so many people refuse to believe they’re even capable of being wrong.

My best friend and I suggested online that maybe this friend of ours stop using “gay” as an insult (this was around 2009 or so) and he and his girlfriend became adamantly defensive and mean. When they implied that my best friend was molesting his beloved dog just to be assholes, I just cut the cord and walked away. They were idiots anyway.

Fun fact: the girlfriend was, and is, a huge “do good” volunteer advocacy leader. So, you know, help each other out, but don’t get in the way of my homophobic slurs.

The only reason I never bought into Boox is their flagrant violation of GPL.

As another owner of the Kobo Libra Colour, I can recommend it for its excellent ergonomics and UI. Plus as a bonus, it has pen support!

I’ve been saying for a while that Microsoft’s best bet from here is to turn the Xbox into a Windows box, update Windows to work decently on handhelds, and launch an Xbox portable. Kill the console/PC distinction and leave Sony flat-footed to compete with Nintendo.

The only challenge to this approach is Valve beating them to it from the other direction.

Alternative perspective: Buy the most intrusive, ad-subsidized set you can find and disconnect/block it so you get all of the benefit and none of the privacy invasion?

A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius by Dave Eggers. If you could distill pure insufferable smugness into a liquid, this was him squirting it into your mouth while you’re not paying attention and laughing at you while you sputter and gag.

I feel like the term “thinktank” is misapplied here. It’s more like a schemetank or a ratfucktank.

I don’t want him feeling “shaken”. I want him to know, deep down, undeniably to the very core of his soul, that he is a blight on humanity. He is devoid of honor and value by any moral measure. His existence on earth and in this society has done vastly more harm than good and humanity would have been better off if he had never been born. I want him to wake up every day and feel that more deeply and truly than he can feel his own breathing.

Then the rest of the list, too: Trump, Mitch McConnell, Steve Bannon, Roger Stone, Rupert Murdoch, Roger Ailes, Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity. Alito, Kavanaugh, Thomas, Barrett. Gym Jordan, Mike Johnson. Steve Miller, the list goes on and on. Selfish monsters that I only wish knew how little they deserve the lives they live.
