No automated updates has be the biggest reason for me.

He just claimed it was a bad connection. It definitely wasn’t if you watched the stream. What makes this even funnier is that it was supposed to be a demonstration for Starlink and he ended up shitting on it because he couldn’t handle the defeat.
Maybe that’s what killed RFK Jr’s brain worm.
No worries, get well soon!
No, I just tried it. Ctrl + Alt + T opens a new terminal window, but Ctrl + Shift + T opens a tab within the window. These are the default key binds in Konsole, I’ve never changed them. It’s true that it also works to open the last closed tab in various browsers though.
Isn’t the default to open a new tab in Konsole Ctrl + Shift + T?
I don’t think there is any dirt on Trump that could do actual damage at this point. His base hasn’t dropped him after all the heinous things that have come out so far. They have zero morals.
Most likely, their commander Petro Kuzyk used to be a member of the party.
I’ve switched my KDE setup to Wayland a few months ago and have seen a performance increase on some of my games. For example, Cyberpunk feels much smoother than under X11.
But I’m facing the same issue you’re describing in the native Linux build of War Thunder. It runs at a stable 144FPS on X11 but regularly dips down to 20FPS on Wayland. I initially thought it might be the NVidia drivers, but seeing that you’ve got an AMD card, I’m not so sure anymore. For now the fix is to just switch to a X11 session if I want to play this specific game. I don’t think KDE will drop it anytime soon, there are still a lot of random quirks in Wayland at this point.
Don’t get your hopes up. Merz would sell his own mother if it raised his chances of getting elected. He’s just listening to what’s unpopular about the current government and claiming to do whatever is the exact opposite. A lot of it is just hot air from yet another populist.
I expect him to continue support for Ukraine though, so that’s good at least.
Is that a Yandex Rover? lmao
It just says “mod” for me.
I’ve used Lemmy for a while and just recently felt like I was missing a feature for the first time: I’d love if there was some kind of mod mail functionality. One of my posts was removed by a moderator and I wanted to ask why, but I obviously didn’t know which mod did it, so I just randomly messaged someone from the list. There should be a more “elegant” way to do this, like some kind of functionality that allows a user to send a message directly to the community or the moderation team itself.
They appear to have run towards Ukraine, which is probably their best chance to get out of this conflict alive. I’m sure Ukrainian units in the area have been alerted.
Pretty telling that the North Koreans seem to be smarter than the average mobik.
One of the nice things about Lemmy is that you actually get replies under your posts/comments and it’s not just repeating phrases to earn as much karma as possible. There’s always a sweet spot of engagement in online communities and I feel like we’re pretty close to where it begins. Other sites just make you feel like you’re shouting into the void.
Yeah, but this was essentially friendly fire.
Robot on robot violence :(
Interesting to see that China is ranking fairly low on the index and Vietnam so high. Really didn’t expect that.
Since you’re on KDE, plasma-systemmonitor should already be installed. It is the closest to the Windows task manager that you’re probably familiar with.
