I need some light
If you have a water bottle and only drink half of it each time, you will also have infinite 💦
So it is an American thing then? I feel sorry for you to experience that. But I personally never see anyone even use it in a racism way. Probably because of my own ignorance like you said. The internet is open tho. It is not just for US culture/culture issue. So honestly for the rest of the world, I do not think it is an issue at all. Maybe we can try to resolve it in some way? Idk
A lot of people seem to argue about ricing and the “original” meaning of it. But honestly as an Asian I don’t really think any Asian(at least in my country) actually care or even know the meaning of it. The ricing term of the Linux community is far from racism. What so wrong with rice? cuz we love it? I honestly don’t get it.
That is a fair point. Source first software isn’t a part of FLOSS, but even in worst case scenarios it still can be considered as “source available”. Which is better in term of transparency compared to closed source App. OP asked for “private” way to watch Youtube not open source way, so I think grayjay could still be a great choice. We are talking about watching from YouTube which is a corpo closed source spyware anyway.
I personally think Freetube is the best for desktop right now. Recently, there is also grayjay for desktop. The UI is still buggy IMO, but also seem promising.
If you don’t mind. You can try to setup proton VPN with network manager(which I am pretty sure have native WireGuard support). But I am not sure if you can do that with atomic OS or not tbh.
I can do THAT? I didnt know that window have a live boot environment like Linux. Thank you I will give it a try
For me it is like this: Window–>ubuntu(a month)–>kubuntu(a week)–>Opensuse tumbleweed
I also tried Nobara, zorinos, arch and bazzite but never actually use them
The name of the pkg is plasma-welcome now you can use dnf to delete it
For Nvidia GPU, if u want squeeze the most out of it during gaming. I think there is 2 best options Bazzite(it is immutable so it will be really hard to break) or Nobara. Both of them is fedora base, so unfortunately your familiar with Debian based will not do much.
ty i gave up to do this long time ago until i found out your post
Thank you for the information!
