When learning a programming language I think it’s better to find the commands you’d use to compile/run the program and run them in the terminal the first few times so you know what’s actually happening behind the run button. Then start running things through the IDE if it’s more convenient. If you tell us the language we can help with the commands (is it C?)
A book called The Night by a Venezuelan author.
I feel a bit bad saying this because there are definitely worse books but this one stuck with me as the premise sounded really interesting but the book was nothing like it.
There is a review on goodreads that sums it up pretty nicely.
Literature about literature, books about books, literature about books, books about literature, literature about literature, books about books, …
The main thing is a script to stop any media playing and turn off the screen after x minutes, so I can fall asleep watching YouTube or listening to something. There’s probably already an app for that but this is pretty customizable.
Another stupid use is putting the phone on silent while using the camera app because Samsung won’t let you turn off the camera shutter sound.
Tasker. Basically an interface for writing scripts for your phone. Even if you don’t have a use case in the beginning you’ll start finding things to do with it.
Oh I didn’t know about this. You’re talking about The Familiar, right? I don’t know if I’m up for another 5 books like this but now I really want to try.
If you want something really wild by him you can try Valis. Going in blind or not won’t really make a difference.
A speaker too. So you can mess with your pets while away or spy on your spouse. What an amazing product idea /s
Definitely House of Leaves. A story inside of a story, inside of a story, with all narrators being just a bit crazy. Text of different fonts, going all over the place and even upside down based on the story. Just make sure to get the physical copy.
Don’t really have a normal camera. I have a GoPro Hero 4 (ancient, I know) which I take with me swimming. Once you get used to it, underwater photos look amazing. I want to get a actual camera too but worry I’ll keep regretting not carrying it with me places. So potato phone camera it is.
Let alone there’s already a bunch of answers in that post
I can accept that
Not necessarily bad, there’s something about the combination of looking non-threatening and decisive walk that makes people ask for directions and/or assume I work there. It’s great for tailgating too. I’ve walked into at least two restricted areas just by accident.
Yeah, suddenly coding on a phone doesn’t seem so bad
was a bit painful
Well that’s an understatement
Technically alt + shift changes between languages and ctrl + shift changes between layouts within the current language. Win + spacebar circles through all of them. So if you want to change from qwerty to dvorak I don’t think alt + shift will work, at least in windows 10.
If you check the same thread through kbin or mbin the interface shows votes. There is probably other software that does it too.
A crowd where you can be one of many so noone pays attention to you. In my school there was always a huge line in the cafeteria so I’d sometimes go stand there and buy only a piece of gum as an excuse. It won’t help if you want to cry but it helps to feel invisible for a bit.
Almost. I write and eat with my right hand but since I stopped writing on paper I’ve been acting more ambidextrous. Sometimes I forget and try to eat with the left hand only to realize it’s harder due to lack of practice. For new complicated skills I’ll just pick the hand that’s more convenient and learn it there.
Do you get to choose it with a budget or they buy whatever cheap, uncomfortable thing was available? I’d much rather use my own equipment if I’m gonna be using it everyday.
