Exactly, where do you think he’s getting the money to build out these ‘detention centers’ (read: “concentration camps”)? From gutting all other government services and agencies that don’t support his agenda to enrich his buddies and silence his dissenters.

These camps WILL be put to use once he moves to the next step, targeting fully legalized and naturally born American Citizens for ‘disloyalty’. It is coming, it is clearly evident. Unless Congress or the SCOTUS pulls hard on their reigns, we re rushing headlong into this.

I am telling you, that it doesn’t matter. When you replace the leaders who had a spine with stooges, and then beat down anyone else at the bottom who had a spine, and then start firing or refusing to pay people who aren’t falling in line, everyone else will follow along with whatever you want them to.

Look at the media right now, as a perfect example. Look at universities right now. People are afraid to speak out, because speaking out is being beaten out of them. It will and it has reached the military, too.

It’s naive to think that the military will stand up to it. The Trump administration already fired the leaders who could stand up to them, and then killed ‘DEI’ efforts to ensure that leaders know that they’re there only as long as they’re useful to the guys at the top.

Edit: HTF do you think murdering, executing, and committing genocide was normalized for the people and militaries in Nazi Germany and Israel right now? It’s happening here, and pretty soon convincing the military that Canada, Mexico, or Europe are enemies won’t be difficult. “They’re colluding to commit economic warfare against us! MAGA! I know good and well that there are ‘loyalty tests’ coming up, and I’m having to keep my head down now so that I don’t get labeled ‘not loyal enough’ now. And Lemmy here? I have a unique perspective on that, and I’ll tell you it’s absolutely no different in the army or military than it is in the government with DOGE walking into agencies it SHOULD have no jurisdiction over and ordering them to stand down, then destroying them from within.

Right now the propaganda machine is rolling at %100 convincing the Right that what they’re doing is in defense of the constitution, against the Left’s evils. You have enough stooges in place as leaders, and out enough people who still have a spine, and the rest will (and have) fall in line.

Deporting college students without Due Process? Or protesters, or immigrants? Unconstitutional. Using DOGE to destroy legislative controlled agencies? Unconstitutional. Using DOGE to destroy legislatively mandated executive agencies? Unconstitutional. Attacking the media and their 1A? Unconstitutional. Being crowned god-king by the SCOTUS? Yeah, unconstitutional.

There have been how many illegal acts so far that his stooges have followed along with? Nothing is illegal if there’s no one willing to enforce it and no one willing to refuse to obey.

In Atlanta, GA (USA), I was running on the Beltline (our huge walkable sidewalk path that circles through the city) and passed a homeless guy… shitting. Pants down to his ankles and squatting a foot off the path in some leaves. Everything exposed, just dropping a load.

Edit: another good one, but like 20 years ago. One of my last years in HS, my GF and I went to this local sit in pizza joint with some friends and got a window seat. And I kid you not, some fucking 6-10 year old walks up to the wall outside of our window, drops his pants and whips out his pecker, and starts peeing on the wall less than a foot away from our table inside.

But, I want it in my lungs and steaming liquid flavor water doesn’t sound like it’ll mix well with those.

I figured it’d be alright until the cheese came out a little off in color. Didn’t smell weird… but, I didn’t trust myself to ‘taste’ it, I wolfed down what I could stomach before I could taste it, and tossed the rest.

The shitty thing was that I had dedicated so much time to cooking everything else, once the cheese came out I had already invested too much in my sunk cost fallacy.

I did a hamburger helper, probably 5 months ago, where the liquid cheese sauce was supposed to be white… but was more off white/sickly yellow… needless to say I only ate as much as I needed and threw the rest out. 😂

I did the best I could to support the ‘we don’t waste food in this house’ mantra. I’m sure it was fine, but i lost my appetite merely from the thought of it.

I re-listened to Critical Role Campaign 1, Vox Machina, this year. It was pretty neat, I had caught up with Campaign 3, Hells’ Bells, and needed to give myself enough time to get behind and binge, so I think I did the entire VM story in… idk, 2-3 months? Maybe 4? Just on commutes and work outs.

I’m caught back up with HB, now, though… but, I’m also turning on Late Night comedians on my commutes, to mix it up a little.
