Could you give us an example of such a location please?
Russia, which is blocked from other international payment systems. Or any other authoritarian country where you might not necessarily want the government to know where you donate your money to.
Whataboutism fallacy.
We’re still throwing around fallacies like it’s 2010? Okay, I cast fallacy fallacy!
When talking about whether a donation button should have a specific payment option, it’s relevant if the alternatives it offers are better or worse. Otherwise, the argument might as well be to not have a donation option at all.
Depending on where users are located, it might be the only realistic option they have if they want to donate. Besides, traditional payment systems like PayPal, MasterCard, Visa etc are all problematic in their own right.
I don’t really get the need for a term like this. People are attracted or not attracted to all kinds of aspects of other people, so do we also need hyper-specific terms based on hair color, ethnicity, body size etc as well?
Recently bought “Drova: Forsaken Kin”. Basically a Gothic-like in 2D. Runs and controls great on the Deck.
Yeah the democrats have been a disappointment. I’d kinda see that as a reason to protest all the harder though. Using more disruptive measures like general strikes as well. Make them listen. Protest movements have overthrown tyrannical regimes before. Gets harder the more they’ve consolidated their power though.
Was there anything on the scale of the 2017 women’s march? I’m sure your arguments are true to some extent, but I am surprised and concerned that I haven’t seen anything in similar scale to 2017’s protests, despite the situation being so much worse this time. Back then they managed to mobilize over 200,000 people despite being car-centric.
Just not polluting it further would do it. It’s a river, so almost everything will get washed away and within a couple decades it will be pretty clean.
The expectations will probably be different between cultures but personally, nothing. It’s a gift after all, giving them money for it would make it a business transaction. Of course, when there’s an opportunity, I’d give out some food or drinks to my friends as well.
I’ve learned French in school for 5 years, but I only speak it on a relatively basic level, despite living very close to France and crossing the border quite often. Not too big of a deal though, as many people in Alsace also speak a German/Alemannic dialect.
Roughly:
murder, rape, sexual assault, battery, arson, sexual harassment, racketeering, assault, treason, DUI, fraud, theft, infidelity, speeding, drug dealing
However, that order could change quite a bit based on the specific circumstances of the crime.
Not at all. The only eggs I get are from a local chicken enclosure where my family helps out by feeding them once a week.
Nice! Never had the F100. Always wondered how that “Analog stick” (that I think was really just a DPad?) controlled.
Yeah somehow I totally misread that, sorry.

Sure, I’m not American myself. But I’m pretty sure much of the violent rhetoric on social media right now around killing CEOs etc is from Americans. The murder of Brian Thompson happened in America after all and all the anger around health insurance wouldn’t really make sense in most of the world where there’s universal health care.
I mean those people in the new world also did a bit of genocide of the native people as a side project and the movement in France included a regime of terror where like 30000 people, including peasants and revolutionaries, were murdered by other revolutionaries. It was hardly just the burgeoisie that suffered. But sure, desperate times may call for desperate measures. It’s not something I’d particularly want to live through though and there’s no guarantee that what comes after will be better.
Just be careful you don’t get in the crossfire yourself once the people’s bloodlust takes over and who the elite is shifts. In some cases, wearing glasses was enough.
I’ve seen both. Example of what I mean
Yes I do, because my own experience of existence suggests I have it. Could that all be an illusion? Sure. But believing I don’t have free will would pretty much deny the existence of my self, which, being myself, I’m not really capable of, nor would I want to do that.
