It’s not so bad being the worst player on the team. Just means you have a lot of room for improvement as long as you’re willing to learn. Honestly it’s one of my favorite situations to find myself in. “Oh I suck. How can I get better?”
People who like talking and listening I suppose. Then just click the mute button on someone’s name if they’re being abusive.
Yeah, I definitely get that. Even so, sometimes I think it’d be nice to talk to people for more clarity. Maybe voice chats would require a moderator to start them and stay there to facilitate the conversation?
I don’t think solid state batteries provide as much benefit in smaller devices.
Yeah, that’s a cool observation and it makes sense. There’s an idea that there’s really only one “story”, which is the hero’s journey. I think it might be a fundamental way of how people frame their experiences and observations.
Yep! I always understood the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil to be the Christian mythology’s explaination for the birth of consciousness. Once you’re conscious of the concepts of right and wrong you’ll be capable of feeling shame for your mistakes.
Throwing Eve under the bus is a real beta move.
Article titles like these always feel like a bit of a stretch. I would think the concept of race would extend as far back as homo sapiens vs neanderthals.
Obviously race is also a part of Christianity, but if I remember correctly the most relevant thing Jesus said about race is that salvation wasn’t just for the Jews and that God’s love extended to everyone. Weird how far off track Christianity can get when used as a populist tool for oppression.
I don’t let what other people do ruin my happiness. If I’m happy with the work I’m doing and the amount I’m getting paid then I really don’t care what other people do.
As long as she’s willing to put up with that nonsense I’d love to see her as president. But I can certainly imagine a person in her position not wanting to rock the boat and subject herself to that.
Mystery exists outside of the simple world of “good” and “bad”.
Can’t blame you. I put a Windows PC together again just so I could play Helldivers 2 a bit more consistently. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to enjoy your leisure time.
Good luck ever defining “good”.
Ah, I like this solution. Thanks for the suggestion! I set up GPU passthrough for a VM on a build years ago with QEMU. I’m sure I’ll be able to figure that out again.
Haha, I was hoping that because all my monitors are plugged into my AMD card that it wouldn’t cause as many issues, but I was mistaken.
I’m looking at it as an opportunity to learn more about the Linux kernel, the order that certain modules are being loaded in, and environment variables.
Cool! Maybe I can challenge you. Can you help me figure out how I can get my Hyprland session back on my Arch install? I have a Radeon 7700 XT and I recently installed an RTX 4070 to assist with some compute tasks. With both cards installed GDM doesn’t populate the Hyprland option. If I remove the 4070 everything goes back to normal.
(This is also a joke, you don’t need to help me troubleshoot this.)
(Unless you actually know how in which case I can pay you $20 for your time)
I had a hard time getting drivers for an RTX 4070 setup on Fedora a couple months ago. Not that I’m everyone, but I’m relatively competent so I could see how it would be an experience many people have shared.
I’m about to go through the Hyprland setup tutorial and I’m pumped af.
I’ve been thinking about this a bit more, and I realized that I talk to other people the way I talk to myself. This probably wouldn’t be a problem if I weren’t so critical of myself.
I think I need to not only put in the effort to reread the things I write when communicating with others, but also to just be kinder to myself in my internal monologue.
I spend too much time being frustrated inside my own head, and that makes it easy to use that same tone when I’m interacting with other people.
Thanks for sharing your advice. I think verbalizing my thoughts the way you suggested will be really helpful.
It actually makes sense as a campaigning song to me as long as your platform is about trying to address the social problems the song is highlighting.
