I’m not mad I just don’t trust the Devs of Star Citizen. I think their monetization as a whole reeks of a scam and I don’t understand why people defend it.

Oh it’s not one tech demo, it’s several. They aren’t connected. If they aren’t connected it isn’t a game. People just don’t want to admit they were scammed when they “bought” that fancy ship in that “game”.

I didn’t even know that game existed until I saw headlines saying it failed. It wasn’t marketed well and I would bet that was on purpose. I think they knew it was terrible, why else wouldn’t they try to sell it?

It’s easy to ignore actually. Where game? I don’t care how pretty your tech demo is. Where game?

Based on the history of the company I say: bullshit.

I’m happy for you if you do, I just can’t justify spending what publishers are asking most of the time. Every now and then a title comes along that for me is worth it, those times are getting more and more infrequent as the prices climb.

And if they already paid for a certain amount of ads? What if there is a contract and they are obligated to have their ads on the platform for a certain amount of time? There are any number of reasons why they can’t just pull the plug , no matter how much they may or may not want to.
