Arguably the 2nd last tier has “hand coded OS” which is exactly what TempleOS is

Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•Cursor grab issue with modded STALKER SoC
1·7 months agoAfter some more looking I found a video that there’s an option within protontricks that locks the cursor that works for me. Thanks for your suggestion though!
Personally I’ve never came across anyone who don’t get the numbing feeling from Sichuan peppers. You’re built different maybe lol

Games@sh.itjust.works•12 Years and $700 Million Later, What's Going on With Star Citizen's Development?
2·1 year agoTo put it to perspective Star Citizen’s Kickstarter started on 2012. GTA 5 released on 2013, and GTA 6 is supposed to be out in 2025. If it doesn’t get delayed too significantly we will get 2 full GTA games before SC is released.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Does anybody here still wish the Fediverse just had more people?
14·1 year agoPersonally I don’t find a huge difference with reddit and threadiverse, at least for larger subs. Sure, on paper there are hundreds of comments, but most are the same tired decade old memes. You can predict what the comment sections are gonna be like from the title alone. At worst you get similar comments here, but you don’t have to dig through hundreds of comments before finding something worthwhile.
Ea Nasir over here selling subpar code now
That’s how I thought the Frediverse worked at first lol

Technology@lemmy.world•YouTube is now hiding the skip button on mobile too
0·1 year agoI have no idea what that person meant. The only thing that Revanced “injects” are info and updates of the app. The only thing I can think of is if they’ve installed it from a sketchy unofficial source.

Technology@lemmy.world•YouTube is now hiding the skip button on mobile too
0·1 year agoReVanced, in conjunction with MicroG, allows youto be logged in to Google while still having an ad block and sponsor block on mobile. Also setting up might be a little more difficult since it needs you to patch a YouTube apk yourself.
I understands this might be the exact opposite of what some people want but it works for me.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•If a movie was being made about your life, what actor/actress would you have play as you?
2·1 year agoSteven Yeun and Bobby Lee interchangeably
Just this morning I tried to make Outlook on my work laptop to open on startup. I have to find and add a shortcut of Outlook, buried somewhere in the machine, to the startup folder, buried somewhere else in the machine. The startup apps settings menu was just an eclectic list of programs and is of no use at all.
With Mint on my home machine I just go to startup programs settings menu and I can add whatever I want just by pointing it to the right program. It just works.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Threads deepens its ties to the open social web, aka the ‘fediverse’ | TechCrunch
8·1 year agoOn paper it should play well, it appeared as Mastodon would on my Mbin instance. A lot of Mastodon instances have preemptively defederated from Threads though, so you need to shop around.

If they’re so confident about that stance they should remove their games from Valve’s services.
