That’s true but it’s not in the same ballpark as GPS tracking. The phone company knows what county I’m in but probably not what businesses and municipal buildings I enter on foot unlike GPS location services. Bluetooth and Wifi are also disabled when I leave the house to minimize those being used for device tracking.

It’s just good practice to disable all the unused wireless radios in your pocket computer. Don’t turn them on until you need them on. It saves a lot of battery life too.

My kids don’t even have phones, as they do not need them and they are unhealthy for the young brain’s development.

I also don’t use location services on my phones. Fuck all that tracking bullshit.

Not if the app is coded properly to not include message content in the push notification. Signal uses google notifications only as a wakeup event to poll the (not google) server for the new message.

Google push notifications are available on GrapheneOS - just have to install Google Play Services. Their sandboxed version of google’s junk is nice because you can fully restrict permissions to it unlike stock Android.

I get a lot of spam/phishing in one of my Gmail accounts for some reason. They send me PDF attachments with nude pics on them of hot ladies that ostensibly want to meet my penis and stuff. “Click here!” it says on the nude pic PDFs, with links to .ru websites and junk

I hope this gets circulated enough to reduce the ridiculous amount of investment and energy waste that the ramping-up of “AI” services has brought. All the companies have just gone way too far off the deep end with this shit that most people don’t even want.

It went from “don’t post pictures of yourself or your real name online because you might get strangers’ attention” to everyone trying to be their own version of a Max Headroom talking head to try to get the attention of all the strangers. Selfies, video selfies, talking head videos, reaction videos… all garbage.

The phone addiction thing is strangely very common now. I’ve seen many posts online about it, people complaining how life is bad and they can only stay on their phone all day.

I just don’t get it. Why would you want to stare at a tiny screen in your hand all day? I only waste time on my phone when I’m bored and can’t find something better to do.

Lots of people on the internets tend to do whataboutism around this topic whenever it comes up.

I think what it all boils down to is that TikTok is the worst example we’ve seen come up, and it is badly addicting and manipulative enough that it finally got people concerned.

When you’re one of us who never installed or browsed to TikTok, it’s quite obvious how it’s fucking up the rest of the people. It has taken smartphone addiction to a new level. People look like addicted zombies on that shit.

There’s still room in car design for bigger batteries too. Could be used in cheaper electric cars with a less optimal power to weight ratio than LiFePO batteries would yield.

Prime is not a money saver. It’s a money waster that tricks you into buying more stuff just because “the shipping is free” but you can often get free shipping without Prime or Amazon. Just wait until you need enough stuff to meet the store’s free shipping threshold to make an order.

It’s really sad to me that modern youths and others tend to only listen to streaming music services, paying subscriptions, listening to ads, not being able to choose what song they hear next.

Everyone should own some form of permanently usable media with the music they like on it. If bands were still putting out CDs I’d recommend that for long term storage, because my collection from the 90s is still working fine. But with smartphones being the king of all social control now, I’d recommend having MP3s of every song and album you enjoy. Store them in multiple places with backups. I have also been collecting those since the 90s. My music collection is awesome. I have hundreds of CDs and about 10000 MP3s that no corporation can deny me access to.

The only thing I like about streaming services is discovering new artists. But I don’t need it to do that.

Trumptards already saw their insurrection didn’t work and that prison is the consequence. Trump admitted that he lost the 2020 election and many of those cultists are mad about it. So I don’t think we will have a repeat of the Capitol attack, instead we may have some assorted terrorist threats and attacks. Hopefully if that does happen, it will further drive them into obscurity because normal people tend to not like terrorism.

I saw a penis size chart recently, it showed the overall avg size versus porn actor sizes.

Overall people’s average size was around 5.5" and average porn actor size was about 7" and there were very few porn actors with less than 6"

So porn is generally skewing people’s perception of size if that’s what they see more than in-person dongs. (haha in person)

It is a valid line of inquiry if you consider that not taking care of basic personal hygiene is a symptom of mental incompetence. We do not want to elect a mentally incompetent leader. By all visible evidence, the man has working arms and hands that should presumably be able to reach to wash himself. So if he goes around smelling like a toilet dumpster then something is mentally wrong there.

Of course there have been numerous other indications of such issues beyond the reports of stench.
