Yeah, in my work I don’t even do a lot of 3D rendering, but 64 GB main RAM and at least 8 GB GPU RAM barely manage to cut it performance wise for the GIS and CAD systems we use.

I’m not from the US, but I have the distinct opinion that both Biden and Trump are too old. My parents are/were younger, and I wouldn’t trust them with decisions about anything other than what they want for breakfast.

Bernie Sanders seems saner, but you guys really need some lesser-than-septuagenarian who has non-Xitter oomph, and who has compassion and respect for human life and the planet.

PFAS/PFOA finns överallt sedan många år tillbaka, det eskalerade efter att teflonet upptäcktes och hamnade i vardagligt bruk. Så det är inte bara hundratusentals svenskar, det är i stort sett alla svenskar som får i sig det via dricksvatten, med relativt få undantag.

I Sverige har PFOS använts för bl.a. brandövningar och vid släckning av exv flygplansbränder. PFOS finns fortfarande i skumsläckare, smink, kökstillbehör och byggmaterial.

De nya reglerna för dricksvatten gäller dock bra för fyra PFAS-ämnen (därav ”PFAS 4”), men kommuner runt om i Sverige arbetar med att sanera och motverka minst 11 PFAS-ämnen (”PFAS 11”). Effekten kommer att dröja, men med tiden hoppas vi att dricksvattnet även blir renat från fler PFAS/PFOA-ämnen.

Det är ett jättebra förslag. Jag minns när sista tunnelbanetåget gick vid 00:15 från T-Centralen och det inte gick mer trafik förrän vid 04-05. Så många tonåringar var fast vid endera ände av nätet och så många tonårstjejer jag kände hade blivit tafsade på på nattbussen, tvingats till obekväma situationer/övergrepp för att övernatta hos udda personer efter festen eller tvingats acceptera tafs eller värre från taxichaffisar.

Huvudanledningen till att vi inte bor utmed pendeln är just för att vi inte vill att våra barn ska tvingas till liknande situationer bara för att de råkade stanna hos en kompis eller på en fest aningens för länge och att det sedan är en stor risk för att frysa rejält (med ev skador för framtiden) eller hamna i riktigt läskiga och obekväma situationer (med rejäla skador för framtiden).

Jo, det stämmer med största sannolikhet. Har dock egen erfarenhet med bekanta genom åren med väldigt tråkiga upplevelser där det inte var alkoholmängden som var inblandad, så det var till stor del därför jag postade om det.

Go by the study. And then if there are other studies, look at the combination of them. Ignore the articles speculations, they do not undermine a study that was supposed to look at “how much micro and nano particles of plastics are released and we’re subjected to when microwaving food in plastic containers”.

Considering that it is stated that it helped in earlier stages (before they took the patients off donanemab), I don’t think they got as far as claiming it halted the progress. From the article I mainly had the impression that it slowed it enough in some patients to show some progress in the research. Still, this is hopeful, considering the other options that have been available thus far.

I interpret it as that you can’t delete your Threads profile, unless you delete your Instagram account. So it’s not as if you try to delete your Threads account and oopsie your Insta is gone as well… same, but still different.
