Currently, PopOS although I’m not really that enthusiastic about it.
What? Why would you choose that over Baptist Church of Missouri SynodOS, you heretic?
It will be interesting to see if it passes Constitutional muster. The Constitution only requires that “the people” choose the legislator. Previous attempts to regulate voting like this required amendments (e.g. elimination of the poll tax).
The relevant:
“I better win or you’re gonna have problems like we’ve never had. We may have no country left,” Trump said at his weekend swing-state rally. “This may be our last election. You want to know the truth? People have said that. This could be our last election.”
Eh. The article goes on to quote pundits who claim he’s threatening voters – that if he doesn’t win, he’s gonna do something to end democracy.
Seems kind of overblown to me. First, Trump would have to do something (laugh) and second, this is normal posturing. If you elect the other person, it’s doom and gloom, if you elect me it’s 4 more years of good times.
People trying to make sense of Trump’s incomprehensible blather are always gonna come out looking silly.
I’ll stand to it. See you in November.
Does anyone think that RFK Jr would be any kind of spoiler? If he got as much as 0.5% of the vote in any state, I’d be floored. I mean, I guess it could be a super-close race, but I don’t think it was a given that all of RFK’s voters would turn Trump anyway.
Then they would have to remove the various hooks in the Settings app that actually call and open the Control Panel.
How many are there? I can think of several (advanced mouse settings, advanced network settings, printer properties, date & time has a callout back to the old panel…)
Windows 10 came out nine years ago, so they don’t seem in any particular rush.
“Main Quest”. What does that even mean? That’s nonsense.
The idea that anyone finishes a game of Civilization is a myth.
Yeah, but ISPs are rich and VPN providers are not. The most recent numbers I can find for Cox (2020) show $12.6 billion in revenue.
Is this controversial? You’re paying for the storefront.
But can it run Crysis?
I just wish Mr. Buttigieg wasn’t confined to such a low-stakes role in the administration. It’s great that he gets the occasional moments like this, but he’s not exactly being set up for a run at the Presidency in 2028.
Did we need Fauci to tell us that? Trump went on record to the press, several times, claiming that COVID would fade away in a few months. He was wrong, of course, and winter 2020-21 was one of the deadliest periods.
Satya Nadella, Microsoft’s CEO, “has taken on the responsibility personally to serve as the senior executive with overall accountability for Microsoft’s security,”
Err. Wasn’t that already true? He’s chief executive officer, not chief some shit that doesn’t include security officer.
But, the guy admits that what they were doing with the domains was expressly permitted in the “Enterprise” class service. If it was expressly prohibited in the “Business” class service, then they set themselves up for the shakedown.
First of all, congrats! Your business must have become pretty successful. How exactly did CF decide to “ask” you to switch to Enterprise?
Maybe…
* You violated their terms of service…
I wouldn’t say Cloudflare is innocent, here, but this business handled Cloudflare the cudgel that was used to beat them. They admit to doing something with their domains that was expressly prohibited in the service they were paying for.
Honestly I’ve daily-driven Fedora, Mint, and Ubuntu and I can’t say I saw a fraction of the problems that you did.
I will say that I struggled with PopOS – despite claiming to be the most Nvidia and gaming friendly distro, it gave me endless trouble with the Nvidia graphics in my gaming laptop. Mint and Ubuntu, though, never had a whiff of trouble. I’m on Ubuntu now with no complaints.
