Apply, interview, whole nine. Take the job, get all the way through the training, then quit or sabotage.
12 too many.
According to headlines lately, MAGA melts down fucking constantly. I hypothesize that they’re actually just liquid. They aren’t ‘melting down’, this is just their natural state.
Seems to be a division here based on the (ex)Trumpanzee’s sincerity vs not.
My thought is who gives a shit if they’re sincere? The goal isn’t to convert them, it’s to defeat Trump and people like Trump - if a former Trump voter can be used against him, I have no issues at all with at least pretending to accept that that person is having an authentic denazification. Whether or not they’re truly capable of self reflection is kinda moot
Weird thing for a Nazi to say.
…you sure? I think he’d make decent fertilizer.
Telling the passengers of the Titanic to grab a bucket after it snapped in half is not as helpful as you might think.
In unrelated news, the graphics for the Switch 2 are fucking incredible - look at this shit! This is wild!
He hasn’t botched the tariffs - his goal is to weaken the US as evident by the outcome of every fucking decision he makes. And to that end, he’s accomplished his mission.
Stop treating him like a village idiot who’s trying to run our country and failing; and start treating him like a domestic enemy to the US who’s trying to destroy our country and succeeding.
‘Botched’ is what happened when that rally shooter missed, and what actively happens every time someone who swore the Oath of Office/Enlistment/Commissioned Officers is within arm’s reach of that traitor and fails to uphold their obligation to defend our constitution from all domestic threats.
8 times bigger than Witcher 3 filled wilth Witcher 3 quality content would be a godsend. 8 times bigger than Witcher 3 filled with procedural generation and AI slop… not so much.
“We’ll wait a bit before not upholding a legal, moral, or ethical standard.”
That man sure is CEO material…
Desmos.
Free online really good quality graphing, scientific, etc calculators with no ads or other bullshit.
keyboard key remapper
Specific example: the caps lock key is useless and only ever activated on accident when I fat-fingered the A key. Remapped it to F-13 which exists as a kind of place holder with no function since keyboards stop at F-12; then set F-13 as my push-to-talk key in Discord, so now I’ve got a super conveniently located PTT that won’t disrupt anything (like switching to aLL CAPS WHEN I INEVITABLY MISS THE A KEY).
Small change, absolutely love it. 10/10
If we’re pitching microtransactions as extremist content, I’m on board.
Rode a horse.
Woke up in a hospital.
Discovered I’m like insanely allergic to horses; airway was completely fucked.
Someone hit me with an epi-pen after recognizing the signs - good chance I’d be dead otherwise. Unsure if it was a staff member or just a random person who happened to be carrying an epi-pen; I was pretty little when it happened, and only vaguely recall getting up on the horse and nothing after, but I’m told I just randomly went all dead-weight and flopped off and face planted in the dirt.
Thanks, random stranger with epi!
Donald Trump Is Deteriorating
…was this report published by Internet Explorer?
That was both hilarious and painful.
And I don’t mean to always hate on it - the tech is useful in some contexts, I just can’t stand that we call it ‘intelligence’.
Probably because that’s the common expectation due to calling it “AI”. We’re well past the point of putting the lid back on that can of worms, but we really should have saved that label for… y’know… intelligence, that’s artificial. People think we’ve made an early version of Halo’s Cortana or Star Trek’s Data, and not just a spellchecker on steroids.
The day we make actual AI is going to be a really confusing one for humanity.
I’m probably the least tech savvy person on Lemmy. If my dumb ass can figure it out, the subset of Reddit’s population who we’d actually want in Lemmy’s community should have no problem.
That said, onboarding could have been better, and you’re right about the potential hangups: “fediverse” sounds like some kind of federal government function like a hub website that links to all the different .gov agencies, and “Lemmy” sounds like a cartoon character. Choosing an instance was more stressful than it probably should have been; ultimately went with .world by blindly following the advice of a YouTube video, but on day 1 I was pretty oblivious to the extremist shit that’s associated with instances like .ml and had no clue what ‘tankie’ even meant.
That was two years ago though - no idea of that reflects what getting started is like today.
And again, that’s all coming from a relatively tech-dumbass, so I’d imagine it’s probably smoother for people less prone to starting a fire when they their computer turns on.
