Hi I’m Tim.
I’m AuDHD - officially diagnosed ADHD and self-diagnosed (for now) with ASD. I also suffer from a great deal of Imposter Syndrome.

He’s obviously in a bunker somewhere with a clone of Hunter’s laptop! This is why that Ukrainian company gave Hunter all that money ($3 million ) back when Joe was still VP, they knew in 2013 that in 2025 the people would be stupid enough to re-elect Trump and he would be doing the same thing as the first go just cranked to 11! Joe has been a manchurian candidate this whole time waiting to sabotage Trump to help Ukraine against Trump’s handlers. /s
And are history as a nation is very white-washed, and even still it makes places like Florida have hurt feelings enough that they create laws to remove even the tiny bits of truth we actually still taught. You can’t talk about black history, that is reverse discrimination! You can’t talk about treating everyone fairly, that’s the work of Satan’s DEI program!
Using the rules/laws to further their racist/fascist views by talking in code and carefully crafted arguments that sounds “fair” to people with no critical thinking.
Slam!
duh duh duh, duh duh duh

I think in NY we are aware and the state is trying brace for the worse, and I see/hear people starting gardens, getting chickens, and basically have “bug out bags” incase things go sideways.
Not a lawyer, but the law is written so that if you wouldn’t legally be able to serve as President you cannot be VP either, meaning legally this plan has no legs.
Funny how the guy that was found guilty of inflating the prices of his properties to cheat banks and taxes, and campaign finance laws to allow election interference, has such a soft spot for other crookes even though it was a “witch hunt”.
I don’t think it’s always a difficult task to tell if someone is arguing in bad faith or not, and someone basing their argument on incorrect information is not that (and I assume you know that). So trying to say that I see a mere disagreement on a topic the same as one made in bad faith sounds like you’re trying to conflate the two, making it a bad faith argument.
But if pretending a ‘difference of opinion = bad faith argument’ is what you’re looking for I guess good luck. That is what I would call a “circle jerk”, but to each their own. Not sure how that type of discussion with no basis in reality can help anyone to “learn and grow” though.
The issue is that you can’t have discussion or debate with:
So the issue is once you have removed those, you aren’t left with many people holding a very broad spectrum of viewpoints outside of niche topics (Vi vs Emacs).
I think you are going to have a hard time finding a place to talk with a group that overall deals in bad faith arguments and hate speech. They also tend to silo themselves off to their own platforms over concerns that their hate speech gets them moderated (because Free Speech != does not mean speech without consequences or needs to be tolerated by everyone).
If you really want to see the MAGA “point of view” you are probably better off going to them on Truth Social, Gab, 4chan, The_Donald, etc.
You could claim that mine is in bad faith yes, but to do so would be in bad faith. And pretending you can have any meaningful discussion around the topic of “flat earth” in a forum format such as Lemmy is naive. If these people can stick their head in the sand and not listen to indisputable science, Lemmy is not the format to try and convert them. And to use such an argument as the basis for new “rules” who’s sole purpose appears to be so that they can be wielded against a few mods in a community (or communities) that apparently people think are being moderated to harshly seems like a bad way to go about it all. Either replace the mods, or someone move the community. Don’t make these vague policy changes to try and “catch” them into changing their viewpoint when this whole dog-and-pony show is supposedly about censorship.
And stop trying to conflate real topics with wild conspiracy theories, unless of course the goal is to drag the value of real discussion as a whole down, because a “policy” like this using bad faith language and only backed by this censorship boogeyman talk does nothing to further discussion anywhere.
The two examples given, “marijuana” and “flat earth” are two completely different topics, and should be handled IMHO in two completely separate ways. Marijuana you could have a discussion/debate about because it’s a real thing and very little real medical research has been done on it. On the other hand allowing bad faith discussion/debate about “flat earth” is pointless and a waste of time and energy for anyone with critical thinking. Those types of comments should just be shutdown as you can’t argue a bad faith topic and leaving it around only reinforces these bad faith view points creating an eventual decline in a community.
Bowing to those that use bad faith arguments as a way to “prove” this fake sense of censorship should not be tolerated, and deserve to be called out and removed. Removing posts in bad faith is not censorship, and claiming it is, makes you a bad faith actor.
So they are going the Facebook route of you need to allow untruth to prevent this fake sense of censorship. This is just a rule in bad faith that diminishes real debate/discussion. I will not be tolerating lies in bad faith to appease someones fake sense of a censorship boogyman.
Probably for most of the same reasons that IRC isn’t mentioned for fediverse chat, the main one being that they don’t use one of the newer federation protocols. They don’t talk the same federation protocol language, so you can’t really group them under the same category.
Did you sleep through his 1st administration? It was all about selling out the US for profit for him and his “friends”, and trying to kill the people that live here while blaming minorities, and embracing hate groups as a personal militia.
This time around he ran on the platform of imprisoning political rivals, increasing hate against minorities/Jews/and “radical democrats”, using the military to put down opposition/protests (he was a big fan of Tiananmen Square), taking away people’s insurance, raising taxes while cutting taxes and regulation for the wealthy and crypto scammers and on and on. Just promising endless corruption, and people saw that and said “OK” and voted him in.
It’s all the same when you believe in conspiracy theories, are not a Dr., and had a brain worm die in your head.
Also, how in the hell do we not have at least a medical degree as the very 1st requirement for a position that controls/shapes medical care for the country?!
… to spend time as much time as they need — three or four years if they need it — to learn to get reparented, to reconnect with communities …
Is this paid time/leave? Who does he envision paying for his “wellness farms”? Or is this him envisioning everyone creating some commune farm where everyone is eating mushrooms and killing bears?
I know I shouldn’t feed the trolls, but it’s right in the blurb.

“Aides said he talked about Ivanka Trump’s breasts, her backside, and what it might be like to have sex with her, remarks that once led John Kelly to remind the president that Ivanka was his daughter,” Taylor [Miles Taylor, a DHS chief of staff under Trump] wrote, recalling an alleged exchange with Kelly, who served as Trump’s chief of staff between 2017 and 2019."
Just real normal stuff to say about your daughter. /s 🤮
I started off looking at charts of the breakdown of how the major dominations voted, and ended up finding a chart showing how wide a spectrum of “Christianity” has/has had.
