Online forums have not changed since the dawn of the online forum. Tho. Just look at any online forum (and dare I say a Lemmy forum). Same shit, different decade or even century or millenium! Just look at me. I’m drunk and bored and playing with my phone while watching crappy movies. Only time i turn to an online forum. Because i know better.
Yadda yadda yadda.

2·2 years agoI think if I could get everything I run actually running on there without issues I’d be there. Still pondering the steam deck. Haven’t bought it. Will buy it when I can actually do what their slogan says about having my whole library with me anywhere I go.

4·2 years agoI think the EU will take the lead with regulations. They’re already onto the phone number for sign-in thing. They’re kinda slow, but less slow, ya know?

0·2 years agoOh Gawd. The suggestions would make me buy a plane ticket to just jump off the bridge. “Stay connected” oh my barf. Another fun search: “I don’t know what I feel like doing on my day off.” The listicles are so unimaginative, but then suddenly, they turn horror movie like.

21·2 years agoIt would be less annoying if you could easily tell it that you don’t want garbage. Instead, when you select your preferences you have to go through a whole list of options. By the time you’re finished customizing your cookie preferences you’ve forgotten why the hell you went to the page and what the hell the page is. It’s ridiculous. It should be as simple as having two buttons: one for accepting the site’s default garbage and another for for rejecting the site’s default garbage.

I’ve never found a “good community” IR or online. Since, like, when I learned how to say my first words, which was in the late 1970s. What I have found is a lot of bullshit about creating community and communities. People are mostly in everything for themselves. It makes sense. You can join a community and leave one. To summarize: Communities exist in the imagination.
