They have no reason to honor that, and are a corporation. I don’t consider that binding or realistic.
It’s a giant drm manager. Popular, useful, sure, but the day it dies all your content will go poof.
Stockholmed into thinking ads are acceptable. They’re not. No social contract says that you have to put up with ads, they’re simply unregulated in the USA and people have mostly given up.
That sounds like it would be harder to keep than delete. I don’t use it, never have, but the way you describe it sounds like a bad addiction.
