3·2 months agoYou could get a hardware key (like a Yubikey) and authenticate with PIV or GPG.
0·8 months agoPlatforms like Windows and Chrome can also use it for remote attestation, i.e., verifying you haven’t bypassed security controls and locking you out if it thinks you have.
You hold down Shift while restarting or booting and you get a recovery menu. I don’t know why they changed this behaviour.
Sounds like something a goddamn GNOME user would say 😠
