You just described the current US administration pretty accurately. It’s appalling, and terrifying, to have thin-skinned toddlers with this much power.

I read the order in full and am so satisfied. It’s quite short and worth the read. While it isn’t much in the grand scheme of things, reading Judge Chutkan’s metaphorical eyeroll was delicious. I particularly enjoyed:
Setting aside the oxymoronic proposition that the public’s understanding of this case will be enhanced by withholding information about it, any public debate about the issues in this case has no bearing on the court’s resolution of those issues. “Legal trials are not like elections, to be won through the use of the meeting-hall, the radio, and the newspaper.” Bridges v. State of Cal., 314 U.S. 252, 271 (1941).
Jareth is not allowed to be completely gay. He can be 99% gay, but I require that 1% to remain ungay so I can have a chance with this fictional character.
Also Sarah, after she’s grown up about 15 years. She’s also not allowed to be 100% straight for the same reason.
This is a totally normal way to think, right? 🙃
Well, yeah. How else are they supposed to have phone sex?
Alas, nevermind. :(
I wanted to read it, so here’s the archived version. Thanks for sharing!
Which is why we can’t give in to defeatism and it’s dangerous to frame discussion with the notion that Harris is “on track to […] lose.” It’s not over until the election is over.
Nothing is guaranteed in this election. Talk of Harris as though she’s definitely going to win or definitely going to lose only serves to depress voter turnout because people think their votes aren’t necessary.
Vote like your rights depend on it; encourage everyone you know to do the same.
Oooh, I hadn’t considered that. There will be so many dick drawings in there by the end of the first year.
He got pissed off because she mentioned the Aryan Nations. I’m guessing he doesn’t want too much scrutiny on the subject, for some reason. It’s a shame his actions backfired because it’s all but guaranteed that there’s now someone interested in finding out his connection to AN.
My cat. Everything else in my room brings me either misery or a feeling of meh. Cat brings joy, which is difficult for me to obtain.
Game recognizes game.
what the hell Vance is
A couch-fucking weirdo, from what I’ve heard.
I’m full of popcorn already. It’s time for the movie to finally wrap up and the villain to get his ass handed to him. :(
I’m not sure what you’re trying to say here, and please forgive me if I’m misunderstanding, but that reads to me like you’re trying to insult Vance by suggesting he’s Jewish. Would you mind clarifying?
The negative space between the eggs around his head in this image makes him look like he has pigtails. Saw it and had to punish/reward everyone else with it, too.
Agreed. The life of a phone includes multiple cables (unless someone here knows some trick I don’t), so including OEM hardware that’s tested and recommended for the device is great and I wish it were still standard. Phone manufacturers not including parts that they still sell separately seems to have little to do with environmentalism/conservation and much to do with profits.
They do this almost every year. It’s not even really a threat, anymore, just an expectation.
Vance is dumb* to come out and say it out loud because it makes him an easy possible scapegoat for the inevitable fury that a shutdown fight causes.
*Shocking, I know.
My condolences to your liver
I agree, but I’m glad that some big news outlets are reporting it this way. Less not-so-subtle sane-washing and acceptance of Trump, more making him look like the weak weirdo he is.
This is super weird, but I’ve also been having a couple of other bizarre issues today (different device), so I’m going to assume it’s something on my end. Thank you for sharing, and for checking! ☺️
IAAL(BNYL). In very basic terms, here’s what happened:
First court issued a ruling saying Trump admin can’t fire everyone.
Appeals court said Trump admin didn’t need to follow the first court ruling (at this time).
Trump admin tried to fire everyone.
Appeals court has now come back and said Trump admin does need to follow first court ruling.
Result: Trump admin is (legally) barred from firing everyone (for now).
