Pikmin?
Never heard of it
If a company has a bad interface on their electronic item I’ll not buy it. To me it’s a big hill but I guess it’s how you want to look at it. I’ll stop buying anything from that company if they keep doing it
The absolute crap interfaces that are being developed for electronic devices. There’s no reason for them to be as bad as they are at this point. They were getting better and better going from say 1996 until about 2005. After that they just started dropping off fast. The last few years they’re just atrocious. And there is just no excuse. I know it annoys people when I say it, but as far as I’m concerned, the people who develop these interfaces, when they get up in the morning, they do lines of crack until their brains just about explode. Then they go to work and say this would be a cool idea even though the rest of the world looks at and goes. What the hell?
There’s no logic in the interface no common sense that you can use to use them.
And the target/hit boxes are becoming so small if you have any sort of muscular issue good luck on ever using it.
The developers, the executives the companies do not give a crap. Their attitude is if you don’t like it just buy something else. The problem : that’s the way it’s all being designed so you literally have nothing else to buy.
Then you have the consumers , their attitude is basically you have a choice. You don’t have to buy it. Which is a completely moronic statement.
My response is basically I’ve stopped buying things. Unless I absolutely have no other choice I just make do with what I have and the world go screw itself.
I watched my mom try to tap an icon on the screen seven separate times before it would actually activate. think about that , seven times just to activate whatever she was trying to touch. That’s stupid. So I literally knelt down right next to the table and watched herfinger very carefully, hit the screen and come up. The problem was her finger was moving by just a few pixels. So it was counted as a drag. Who the fuck thought that would be a idea? I mean, I could understand if you touch and drag, like a distance on the screen OK well that’s dragging. But that incredibly tiny amount? What jackass thought this was a good idea.? If your finger so much is twitches, it won’t count it as touch. It’ll count it as a drag and it won’t activate.
And how many died under Stalin? How many have died under Chinese rule?
Not sure why downvoted. It’s just memorizing a username and password.
Think of what a bar of gold is worth. 1,000,000. That’s 25 pounds.
I don’t have that much money so for me the weight would be significantly less. That would be super easy to conceal and head some where safe. If the US fell the gold can be converted to any currency. Even if it took a year or two for another country to pick up and be a stable place to go, the gold would still be good.
So that makes gold a solid place to store the value. Go back hundreds of years people still wanted gold. Hundreds of years from now people will probably still want gold.
If it’s a serious crash but the US dollar comes back. Gold will still be a good solid place to store the value. If the US changes from dollar to something else, then gold still works.
The only question is timing the market, but to me still not a big deal since generally safe gold goes up in value.
1990 price was $383 an ounce in 2023 it was $1943 an ounce. I’d say do the math to those that doubt. And yeah timing is tough. But even if the US doesn’t fail gold goes up in price generally speaking
Buy gold. It will go up in value. When things bottom out, sell the gold. Buy back into the markets.
Note this is not financial advice. I can’t predict what the markets will do.
If you are trying to make them care or discuss it at work then that is where you are failing.
Very few people want to or are willing to discuss politics at work. Many will report it as harassing behavior and you run the risk of getting fired.
You need to talk to them outside of work.
I was going to say George Washington with the direction the US is going he’d be pissed
But someone else said Jesus Christ, so yeah I think I’ll go with Jesus
Want that the story about the teen aged alien that came here to jack off?
Fair number of answers, no one saying what country they are from
US here, we had to ask but it was basically always a yes.
Reasons for a no:
Middle of a test
Middle of explaining something important, then you might be asked to wait a few minutes
If you were just abusing the system asked always asking just to get out of class they would probably start saying no. If you had a medical issue you could always meet the teacher after class or before school and say you have a medical issue that prevents your from waiting. It it was a sudden thing like diarrhea… Well just get up and go.
Solid proof of God? Yeah that would change things
I was going to go with that one, but I went with something else.
Solid proof that the source of all life on this planet actually began on a different world. The critical components came here via a comet or even an spacecraft that inadvertently dropped it off. Should screw with a lot of ideals
At first, I was going to down vote you then I realize something, if you don’t really wanna be there then don’t be there because you’re not gonna be a good jury member anyways.
Yes but with an oven you can get in there and clean it. The grate at the top of the air fryer is built in away, where you can’t really clean it.
Air fryers.
Most of them are designed so poorly that it’s also impossible to get all grease out of them. That can’t be healthy. My sister has a ninja air fryer, you can’t remove the top grate. There is grease build up in there. A friend of mine has one he brings it over during the Super Bowl party, the moment he opens up the lid on it you can smell the old grease come out of it. That’s not an exaggeration. There’s no way in hell that can be healthy. So it won’t surprise me if years from now people go we should never have used those.
It also won’t surprise me too much if there’s some health hazard with them other than just the buildup of grease.
Sidenote, what are these companies thinking to make a product where they know there’s going to be grease that is going to build up, and make it in a way that makes it almost impossible if not completely impossible to clean said grease?
Unless their thought process is: use it three times throw it away go buy a new one.
