I love video games, but I told my cousin not to go into that field because of how terribly game developers are treated/paid, and that if your plan is to make an indie hit like balatro or Minecraft, you probably would have better luck playing the lottery. But I’m not really in that industry, I’ve just read a lot of articles. If anyone is actually in that line of work, would you say my warning was accurate?

Totally, I was at the beach, and this guy walked up…well, I say “walked” but he didn’t really use his legs all the way. And as she, wait did I say it was a guy?, well anyways they turned the thing on and it was SO LOUD and I swear, all the waiters dropped their watchamacallits. Wait, maybe it was at a restaurant? Hmmm…

I assume you mean having the citizens rise up and overthrow the government? Problem is, if you try to do that in your own, you’ll get arrested/killed without really stopping anything, and if you try to organize with people online, you’re really likely to be get arrested before you can pull it off. So I think it’s not quite as easy as “we know how to fix it we’re just lazy and scared”

THANKS WE KNOW THAT PART, CAN YOU TELL US HOW TO FIX IT?

More signaling that he plans to ignore the constitution and try to run again in 2028, as if anyone is surprised. (I think we’ll mostly be surprised if he makes it to 2028)
“Nature, uh, finds a way.”

Actually, I saw enough comments about people switching to Linux that I finally said “what the hell” and took the plunge! Very glad I did, as I read more and more crap Microsoft is doing.
And if you don’t like comments that won’t change anything and just annoy people…maybe you should reevaluate your bellyaching 😄

I don’t usually do guided tours at museums, but I really enjoyed the one at the Dali. I learned tons of neat facts about Dali, and also that the building was pretty hurricane proof!

Honestly, maybe the Dali should let people in, probably safer than most places:
“the museum was designed to withstand 165 mph wind loads from a Category 5, 200-year hurricane and includes 18 inch, cast-in place, reinforced concrete walls and a 12 inch thick roof. Storm doors shield the vault and galleries, which are all located on the third floor, protected against 30 foot hurricane storm surges. All of the glass is one-and-a-half inches thick, insulated and laminated, and was tested to resist the 135 mph winds, driven rain and missile impacts of a Category 3 hurricane.”

Damn, I was going to upvote the comment that says “my computer is on and running, 24 hours a day” but nobody said it yet 🙁 sorry Earth…

Wish they had explained how he avoided the kill screen.

You could hammer 100 little tack/nails into a board and hang them vertically. They’d be a lot longer vertically then they are wide, so you could do like 25 across x 4 down. You could maybe even still keep the plastic sleeves on them.
Or find a big donut shaped pillow, with the same diameter as a neck, and put all them on it?
I weigh 175lbs naked, but you really can’t trust those grocery store scales.

I really like the safety aspect of this, but 72% capacity after 300 cycles seems low. What’s a use case scenario where this is preferable over lipo batteries?
Probably the AI company that recently revealed that they just had people in India doing work their AI was supposedly doing.
