I used Flipboard way back when tablets were a new thing and it was clearly designed as a tablet experience. I didn’t click with it and I still don’t fully understand what it is but I’m surprised they’re still around.

I think they mean the giant explosion at the start of the video…
Boxes sales means physical copies

“Terrible game, really bad, sold more copies than ever before.”
Well duh, you always (short term) make more money (short term) when you’re paying fewer employees (short term)! And those (short term) gains will look really good in the future ex-CEO’s resume (and bank account)!
Song is Hydrogen by M|O|O|N from Hotline Miami btw
Dumb, the Cyberpunk game should have evolved from the Witcher series, not gone back to square 1 and evolved “like” the Witcher series.
It’s a fantastic game and it’s currently on sale for the lowest it’s been in a long time. Just be aware that it’s heavily based on large scale teamwork, and you won’t really be able to take advantage of many parts of the game without joining an org. That being said, it’s still a great game just to grab a rifle and join the front line.
He’s absolutely right; it’s a fundamentally Republican feature to allow an extremist minority to control everyone else. The electoral college gives republicans a huge advantage in presidential elections, for example, and now we see that the Freedom Caucus, a very small cadre of right wing extremists, can exert it’s will over the entire 435-member Congress. Instead of compromise, a handful of wackos elected a guy who swore to “fight vigorously with the Democrats.”
Good point, maybe. But yeah, this isn’t rewritable media, this is archival data storage.
I don’t think it’s that type of “durable.” I think they mean you can read from it forever without having to rewrite the data, which currently isn’t true of platter and solid state storage. This isn’t screen technology, though, it’s storage technology, so I’m not sure the comparison is useful.
I exclusively use Firefox. On my desktop, on my laptop, on my phone, on my steam deck, and on my work computer.
Fuck Apple, let the man speak.
But this does the number of companies that have your information. If you use a privacy.com card at two online stores, that’s one company that had your info instead of two.
I think it’s probably already too late. They’ve laid off staff and winded down development already. Usually DLCs are developed in tandem the game and other DLCs. They’d have to make a big change to make a new DLC now, and it would take a long time for it to come out.
The game is so much better now but it still falls short IMO, and it’ll never live up to its original promise. Plus, the game was soooo bad on release that they decided to kill all future DLC except for this one. Which means the game is never getting another major update, no more fixes and no more work towards delivering on the original vision.
Is it going to be insanely expensive and not covered by insurance?
It seems like a lot of images and gifs on Lemmy are hosted on catbox.moe and exactly zero of them ever load. Any chance of adding support?
Edit: im fucking gigadumb, ignore me
