I like my build scripts dependable, debuggable, and deterministic. This is wild. When the bot makes a pull request, and the user (who may be someone else at some point) doesn’t respond with exactly what the prompt wants, what happens? What happens when Claude Code updates, or has an outage? Don’t change that GitHub action at the end’s name without remembering to update the prompt as well.

Also a lot of old proprietary game engines were written either specifically for DirectX or additionally for DirectX because in the olden times it was the most advanced and compatible rendering software.

Then, those developers move forward in time to work on other engines and focus primarily on DirectX because it’s still good, compatible, and it’s what they know best. OpenGL languished and it took a while for Vulkan to come out, catch up, and standardize their API.

Since then, the United States acquired an Army, Navy, and Air Force alongside numerous National Guard units. The theoretical need for citizen militias vanished.

The real answer to your question is that we really don’t have citizens participating in “well-regulated militias.” Not from the constitutional context, anyway.

I’m going to say a few things about food and also assuming prices will go up and not quite reach an economic collapse:

Secure your food, learn to prepare cheaper, more plentiful foods in a way that is tasty to you (look to rice and beans). Consider purchasing or creating emergency food reserves. Consider purchasing more canned foods which can last for years. If you have freezer space, consider vacuum sealing food to keep them for longer.

Generally, look for ways to reduce extraneous cost and rely more on yourself and your immediate community. (This will be difficult to do, no mistaking it)

I’ve not had to recover anything from a raspberry pi SD card, but in the case you start from scratch - and considering it’s upset at write access - you may be able to plug it into another machine and at least salvage bits of its configuration that way.

Yeah, GameFreak figured out the casino stuff wasn’t a good idea in gen 4 (HeartGold/SoulSilver) and replaced slots with Voltorb Flip outside of Japan, and otherwise closed the game corner in subsequent titles. In Pokémon: Let’s Go (Gen7) the player receives Porygon from a random person instead of needing to grind coins in the casino. Would be interesting to see if they could/would hack in that change.

We certainly can. NVIDIA’s CEO realizes that the next buzzword that sells their cards (8K, 240hz, RTX++) isn’t going to run at good framerates without it.

That’s not to say AI doesn’t have its place in graphics, but it’s definitely a crutch for extremely high-end rendering performance (see RT) and a nice performance and quality gain for weaker (hopefully cheaper) graphics cards which support it.

As a gamer and developer I sort of fear AI taking the charm away from rendered games as DLSS/FSR embeds itself in games. I don’t want to see a race to the bottom in terms of internal, pre-DLSS resolution.

Valve absolutely knows if they want Deadlock to be an absolute secret, they need to issue NDAs. They didn’t, so it must be something else.
