… Do they think version numbers don’t have a purpose, or that they’re just for marketing? It’s pretty helpful to know breaking changes vs non-breaking changes in a version number

At work, was recently working on a script that alters the repo significantly. Every time I tested the script, I used the up arrow to get the git clean and git checkout HEAD -- files commands to reset the repo. I must’ve used those 100+ times.

The thing about convenience vs freedom is that, why can’t we get freedom if we choose convenience as well? I don’t feel like messing around with my phone to setup the basics, and the closest thing freedom-wise would be a de-googled rooted android phone. It would be nice to have an inbetween.
