Yes, but in my experience other search engines still give slightly worse results.
Kagi seemed good, but don’t wanna pay for it. Or at least not as much as they’re charging.

I’ve started getting those AI responses from Google now and I honestly skip right past them.
I fundamentally don’t trust the information so what’s the point of even reading it?
I mean, if those stories were made by their prompts and about having sex with children then maybe 🤷♂️
I know we need to draw a line about what police can do with that sort of info so it’s not abused, but these people are still sick fucks.
Not quite the monitoring I’m talking about though.
Basically, it seems like this would be a nightmare for a home user to detect, but a company is probably gonna pick up on this quite quickly with snmp monitoring (unless it somehow does something to that).
Sure, but it’s still fairly detectable when it’s on a server at least, as long as you have monitoring. Just a bitch to pinpoint and fix.
Sounds like it should at least be noticeable if you monitor resource usage?
The bastards are cracking down on getting cheap YT premium with a VPN. Now requires a payment method from the region you’re purchasing via :/
I’ve uninstalled it off the smart TV, started playing videos on laptop. On mobile I use YT via safari with ad blocker, on IOS and not willing to jailbreak or anything like that.
About ten years too late for me, tinnitus go eeeeeeeeeee
LLMs have already reached the end of the line 🤔
I don’t believe that. At least from an implementation perspective we’re extremely early on, and I don’t see why the tech itself can’t be improved either.
Maybe it’s current iteration has hit a wall, but I don’t think anyone can really say what the future holds for it.
Now that GPU companies and developers seem to be giving some focus to Linux, I don’t know what Microsoft can do.
Windows is bloated to shit and that’s how Microsoft seemingly wants it. Unless they start to offer a stripped down release then I don’t see how it could compete with a Linux based OS going forward. (For handheld consoles).
Ironically, I think AI may prove to be most useful in video games.
Not to outright replace writers, but so they instead focus on feeding backstory to AI so it essentially becomes the characters they’ve created.
I just think it’s going to be inevitable and the only possible option for a game where the player truly chooses the story.
I just can’t be interested in multiple choice games where you know that your choice doesn’t matter. If a character dies from option a, then option b, c, and d kill them as well.
Realising that as a kid instantly ruined telltale games for me, but I think AI used in the right way could solve that problem, to at least some degree.
lol, forgot I was even on my feddit.uk account.
I’d already gone through blocking all of that stuff via my app before the defederation stuff happened, but if I were signing up to a new instance I’d appreciate it being blocked by default.
I would much rather signup to an instance that handles that for me.
As long as the instance is clear about what they defederate from and their reasons, then I’m happy with that. And if I wasn’t, I could choose a different instance.
It’s awful. Politics is unavoidable at this point, and the amount of general anger on the platform is crazy.
People love watching their videos of people getting TBIs… Or getting too excited about a “justice served” post where a woman gets hit.
It’s kinda nice to see someone get their comeuppance, but then you look in the comments and there are just weirdos saying stuff like “glad that bitch got hit”, like… wtf?
Are you running Internet Explorer on Linux 🤔
Have you previously annoyed them in some way, or had a disagreement?
Were they in the middle of a proper conversation and might’ve felt like you butted in with a greeting?
It sounds odd. I’d have a think about whether you’ve previously annoyed them in some way, but if not then they might just be grumpy. In which case there’s nothing to worry about, and you just do you.
Wrong. Drugs are too expensive.
The whole point of what I’m saying is that nowhere accepts it and it’s therefore functionality useless for running a business, the point of this post/discussion.
I can easily prove that most retailers don’t accept Monero and it’s therefore basically useless.
It’s a pain in the arse to even buy in the UK, I know because I use it to buy drugs.
Ah yes, the currency that’s pretty much only accepted for buying drugs or anything illegal.
Reducing it to one year made sense, one year down to 10 days is actually a fucking massive difference. Practically speaking, it’s a far, far bigger change than 8 years down to 1.
This isn’t just an “ongoing trend” at this point, it would be a fundamental change to the way that certificates are managed i.e. making it impossible to handle renewals manually for any decently sized business.
