I like this thought experiment and think about this a lot. However this does nothing to remotely indicate the existence of the Abrahamic god. People tell you with certainty that god exists and he’s three persons and jesus rose from the dead yada yada. That’s a complete fantasy derived from literally nothing.

“Concentration camp” evokes the Nazi style death camps. The USA’s version of this was/is decidedly less about mass extermination of a race. Still a concentration camp, still repugnant. I think the terminology is loaded and it makes it harder for people to understand. Not to mention the dearth of education we have which certainly isn’t helping…

Why?

I use AI as a rubber duck or to get general ideas all the time. For example, I wanted to make a “hand” of cards splayed out using css, so I asked AI and it gave me a nice starting point I could tweak without having to fuss with figuring the formula to tilt which element at which angle. It’s also quite good at guessing what boring boilerplate code I need to type next.

Another example: I was trying to figure out an architecture that adhered to OOP/SOLID principles for a specific task, and asked for an example implementation. I was able to test and think through a ton of permutations before landing on what I was taking to prod.

I think it’s a nice tool for the toolbelt, but it isn’t replacing a programmer anytime soon. You have to know what to ask and be able to intelligently analyze what it spits out to you

Conflict doesn’t equal armed insurrection or the assassination of political leaders. He can lose at the ballot box and die penniless. I’m fully aware of what a monster he is. Are we cool with assassinating other R’s? Some are just as vile if not more than him.

Wearing a condom and showering are how you prevent those. There are slight to moderate reductions in a few STDs/STIs, but wearing a condom is the actual prevention method instead of a coin flip. This isn’t to mention that cutting or burning a portion of a human off should probably involve some consent.

I linked an article with commentary, yes. When I read the original comment myself I was very put off by the tone/apparent attitude toward the subject. I still think it was an innocuous change they could have merged – I would’ve. I think the author of Ladybird is probably not a misogynist, but to be so blunt and dismissive on that PR was a questionable look IMO.
