Do yourself a favour and install it on a virtual machine first. Screwing up an install on Arch is frighteningly easy. The Arch Wiki is your friend, use it. Also, read the installation instructions before you begin the installation, not during. If this sounds like too much of a headache (understandably so), then give EndeavourOS a whirl.

I haven’t read a whole lot, but so far: Madame Bovary. We had to read it in high school, because it was culturally significant and because it caused a large amount of controversy when it came out due to its subject matter. When I was reading it though, it felt like I was reading a literary version of every TV soap opera ever. It was a slog to get through and I was bored and annoyed throughout.

I’m on PorkBun now, but I’ve used Njalla for a few years and had no issues with them. The reason I switched was simply because I wanted to own the domain, because with Njalla the domain isn’t actually yours, it’s registered to Njalla. Note that this is by design, in the sense that when someone looks up the domain, they won’t get your info, but Njalla’s instead. After a while, I’ve gotten less comfortable with the idea of someone else owning the domain I paid for, so I switched.

Can vouch for Posteo. I’ve been using them for years and I have no reason to switch anytime soon. They’re privacy focused, the price is great, there’s IMAP support and CalDAV too and a bunch of other things.

I would say it depends on the user. Some might feel more at home with KDE, because the layout is similar to Windows. Some might be coming from macOS, so they would be more at home with Pantheon. Some might choose GNOME, because…

Anyway, the answer is none of the above, it’s terminal only. Get good or get out. Using graphics is for quitters.
