Do you mean pirating games that are still for sale? Because plenty of emulator users only pirate old stuff that isn’t currently for sale.

Hell…suicide, abortion, murder, rape…we need to talk about these things sometimes. If users want to opt-in to trigger word filters, by all means. It should be up to the user if “Rape” and “Musk” are in the same category and shouldn’t show up on their screens.

The article looks like it has evidence of the original definition of “Meteoidvania”, which didn’t originally refer to a genre, but to games in the Castlevania series that played like Metroid.

If we wanted to update the term for accuracy, we’d probably be calling the “Metroidvania” genre “Metroid-likes” instead.

ADHD can feel like you’re putting in 350% of effort 100% of the time but only achieving 50% of what others achieve, and then being treated like you only put in 10%.

Really, the question is more about “When do we stop attributing bad choices to the parent and start attributing them to the child?”

Because babies and toddlers can make lots of stupid decisions.

Being conceived by shitty people is more than enough to have a life arguably ruined permanently before it even began.

So much can happen to ruin a person’s life at any stage, even pre-conception.
