There’s two versions of the Z2E, the one that is labelled “AI” has an NPU. More than any LLM crap, those NPUs can be really good for local ML features that increase accessibility for people. As for how well that’ll be supported on Linux, I’m not sure.
On the point of* your edit, MSFT have said that it’s going to support third-party stores directly in their game interface. I think it’s fairly unlikely that they’re going to break from their already exisiting Xbox controller input scheme. They already have a monopoly there, even third-party devices like the Legion Go use the Xbox layout and input scheme.
I don’t think there’s going to be a bunch of difference with the Z2 over the Z1, and you’ve gotta remember that they’re just 8000/9000 CPUs with Radeon graphics. AMD open sources their drivers too.
This is going to appeal more to regular consumers over enthusiasts.
OBDII exists and is reasonably open.
Your monitor always needs to be plugged into the graphics card. If you plug it in via the motherboard, then your GPU is doing nothing, as it can’t backfeed to that motherboard connector. CPUs often have their own graphics built-in, and that’s what yours would have been using instead.
If it’s 99% isopropyl then it’s probably fine to leave it on now, as it has really low conductivity. The warmth from being on will also help evaporate it faster.
That’s the point I was making. In Australia, wire transfers through your bank are free, attached to a phone number or email address (rather than account numbers), almost always instantaneous and 24/7.
Well, technically speaking, neither would be emulation because both systems are running on x86.
Not really. Zelle seems to just be US banks implementing the payment and bank-to-bank transfer systems that other countries already have. Except, at least for Australia with our ‘Osko’ system it has the involvement of our Reserve Bank and is mandated to be supported universally, whereas Zelle is completely private. The traditional lack of that bank-to-bank transfer ability is why apps like Venmo and Cash App have been popular in the US, which I think explains why Zelle has had an app until last month, as consumers expect that, even though it’s owned by the major US banks.
Taler on the other hand seems to be “What if crypto but with fiat currency and also the recipients aren’t anonymous”.
I think that’s not quite right, otherwise you could say that Rufus is the same. Ventoy is a Live USB tool that allows you to drag and drop ISOs onto a storage device and boot them without needing to image the device at all. It has its own interface that it boots into, that lets you select which ISO to then boot up.
Oo, excited for BG3. Been wanting mods for my second playthru and wasn’t excited for the prospect of doing that manually.
Oh, sorry if I came across like I thought you were correcting me. I’m just, it’s been a big day, maybe I shouldn’t be commenting on the internet 😅
Yeah I do understand the differences, that’s why I said they are essentially the same, because to a less tech-inclined end-user they function in the same way.
I dunno, I guess I just don’t super understand the hype around SteamOS coming to desktop. I do get the excitement for OEM devices with it though.
As well, Bazzite is for all intents and purposes just SteamOS with support for other handhelds. It runs the exact same gamemode package that the Deck does.
Minecraft is also just, fine? If anything needs to die it’s Roblox, and that’s not yucking other’s yum, that’s because it’s genuinely causing a lot of harm as per People Make Games’ investigation.
I don’t know if you’ve just never used this feature, but KDE Connect absolutely has a Remote Input option that pings this prompt. Unlike the prompt in the OP though, it has a “Restore on future sessions” checkbox.
Don’t shoot the messenger, I’m just sharing what was taught to me. I don’t really have the spoons to sit here and debate or defend it.
I was really enjoying the video until he used the word “ricing”. While the creator may not know, that word is fairly racist.
Sure, but the above is from a gnu humour post that’s over 30 years old: https://www.gnu.org/fun/jokes/ed-msg.html
