Yeah you can tell it just ratholes on trying to force one concept to work rather than realizing it’s not the correct concept to begin with
No, still “perfect” for llms. There’s nuance, seeing patterns being used, it should be able to handle it perfectly. Enough people on stack overflow asked enough questions, if AI is like Google and Microsoft claim it is, it should have handled it
Marketing really has just ran away with everything. I wonder what they’ll rename the console as
Maybe, but I believe in Occam’s razer. The simplest solution is probably correct.
The average user is incredibly lazy. Insanely lazy. Reddit has taught them that they should be just spoonfed content constantly with no assistance. People aren’t used to going out to find communities anymore. To them even these basic concepts are then “frustrating” and “complex”. It’s unfortunate, but that’s really how lazy they are.
They can’t go to the search bar, type in television, and hit subscribe, it’s literally too much for them.
This is another great example of pidgeonholing a decent idea into the wrong tech. Lemmy is federated, but is meant to be an open messageboard style of communication. This would be better suited for an actual chat/audio protocol, like Matrix or XMPP.
Too bad about bazzite. Maybe chimera? I think it’s Debian based so it might be slightly better. I’ve always liked pop, but I use it desktop, and it’s just a fork of ubuntu
Yup, read through this thread and it becomes clearer and clearer. and trust me, I’ve been a long time hold out, I’ve been through this many times - but this is the first time I’ve seen functionality removed from Plex to be put behind a paywall. And doing a price hike at the same time. Absolutely shitty. I’ve already migrated off.
Others in another thread are trying to convince me that the email is wrong, that my Plex Pass should mean everyone gets to stream for free. The email, however, kinda indicates otherwise. So who knows what’s going on over there, but either way - I’m done
Yeah, personally I’m optimistic, but I’d be in a boat of expecting access to be shut off one day, and ready to start uploading to a new provider at any moment
Oh that is much easier than I anticipated.
Would you mind writing up a guide on how you did it with Lemmy?
Right, but what exactly does the reverse proxy do to stop intrusion?
I can think of one big reason why …
Now that’s interesting, what is the purpose of the reverse proxy, don’t you still need something exposed then?
Right the jellyfin side, but how do you get it to go through tailscale? I’m not as familiar with tailscale, I only use openvpn
How do you do a tailscale with apple tv?
Honestly if you’re comfortable with Linux I just built my own at this point, but if you’re not then obviously don’t take my advice
Whoops I zipped them up and put them in a few s3 buckets and kept it on my computer. Oh no, well, you know there’s so much that goes in what do you expect.
We call this a whoopsie daisy.
