Lower back pain is so crippling. As I get older I’m starting to get lower back issues and it’s brutal. If I don’t sit correctly (i.e. leaning on one side on the couch) for just a couple of minutes, the pain is unbearable when I get up.

Whatever you end up choosing, make sure it gets regular updates. Not being up-to-date with security updates/patches negates any security/privacy you get.
GL.Inet ships their routers with OpenWRT built-in. You no longer need to setup openwrt yourself, and it has a user friendly GUI that allows you to set up most of the basic/standard stuff without having to go into the openwrt interface. They even have easy setup options for the popular VPN providers so you don’t need to upload the wireguard config, you just log in (unless you have custom settings).
lemm.ee mostly leaves it up to the user to block communities and instances, so you get wider initial reach. The admin is cool too and keeps the instance maintained regularly.
That’s definitely something that goes into your resume and should be mentioned in interviews if you ever pursue that line of work.
Same. After years of neglect, I finally had everything fixed at the same time. After 2 years of dental work and thousands spent out-of-pocket, I now floss and brush religiously.
I believe Firefox is installed by default on Mint, so install uBO.
Transmission.
Veracrypt.
Audacious.
Shop for a dining furniture set that sits 4 people. We just eat at the kitchen bar but since we’re having guests for the first time next month, we need a proper dining table.
Can you share how you made the tomato-garlic sauce? I have some leftover tomato paste so I want to use it for something.
I’ve been distro hopping for 15+ years but have settled with Mint for the last few, because I just want something that works. I’m too busy nowadays to bother with maintaining a distro, so I just want something that works out of the box and is easy to maintain. The laptop I use it on is connected to the TV as I use it to watch movies.
Doesn’t micro-manage.
Like the picture in the post, furniture assembly. I enjoy assembling simple furniture (couches, chairs, storage, etc.) and trying to figure out the documentation, especially if it’s made in china with inaccurate instructions, missing or unlisted parts, and the entire thing not in english.
+1 for lemm.ee. The admin team is awesome, the instance is very stable, and the users are pretty chill. It’s like the meme where there’s a guy with a bong while the other people (aka the 2-3 biggest instances) are fighting.
Choosing Norway as my location seems to work. Note that I’m using rdx
to browse, but the vpn blocking affects it all the same.
The live action series of the manga Trillion Game has a developer as one of the characters and some of fhe stuff he does uses actual terminology and logic, and not just a bunch of tech jargon strewn together.
The guy who invented vaccines.
Oh wow I think I had an account with them but it was so long ago I don’t remember my account details nor any of the photos I uploaded.
Colin Farrell. Great range and excellent comedic chops.
