Exactly. Overcomplicated.
Exactly. Overcomplicated.
We don’t agree, but I still think it is. I just described the first window that found overcomplicated, of course there may be options of UX which may have different arrangements. In any case, in my opinion, even the system applet is overcomplicated (for a system applet).
In this window, for example, what’s the use of the first panel if you wanted to edit something in some WiFi connection? I’d replace the whole first panel with a “back” button and let the window breathe.
Launch System preferences, go to Internet and WiFi. Then you’ll get a UI divided into three panels. The first one lists WiFi and networks, Firewall, Proxy and Other preferences; the second panel will list your connections, including Ethernet, WiFi 2.4 GHz, WiFi 5 GHz, WiFi 6GHz, Bluetooth, VPN and Loopback, your current connection will be auto selected; from the current selected connection you’ll see in the third panel SSID, Mode, BSSID, Restrict devices, Cloned MAC, MTU and Visibility, and this is only one in 5 tabs of options.
I’m sure I skipped some other components in the same windows, but you see my point?
UX wise, GNOME is oversimplified and Plasma is overcomplicated.
Gentoo on a Thinkpad? Why would you do yourself that?
Oh, I see your point ñ_ñ
It’s like the wall, really. But so much bigger, as big as it is reshaping global trade. Like the wall, it will never become a reality, except in some specific parts of the border. Well, some specific parts of the USA economy will still work, the American consumer market is irreplaceable in some extent, for now.
I would think regular Americans are already being affected by this?
Naaah, it’s just companies like Adobe, Autodesk and Microsoft shitting on Linux users each time they can.
They did identify themselves as FBI, but who the fuck knows.
LMDE is everything you want, I assure you.
Jigsaw puzzles. Start with a couple of hundreds of pieces and then go with the ones of thousands. Also gardening, but you need to have a garden or enough space to have plants inside your home.
That works too.
Thank you for sharing those tips. Do you use a Desktop Environment (I’m thinking something barebones like lxqt) or a Window Manager (in this case, which one)?
I have an old Atom tablet with 2 GB RAM capable of running Linux with the generic Linux kernel from any genetic distribution. Granted, I’ve never tried AntiX. How do you manage? Each time I’ve tried Linux in this tablet, it honestly runs like crap.
For knowledge, I first try to contextualize the piece of thinking into a human framework. Once I did this, I ask myself if the piece of thinking can be known by any system that can be replicated. If this is the case, then I look into it, to get a grasp of how the piece of thinking became a piece of information and the context in which it was tested. Then I adopt it, trying to remember that context.
A belief I just decide it is true. I have personal rules for it too. 1) Overall, I’d like it to be a part of my life because it makes me feel better than not having it, and 2) it doesn’t hurt anyone else, as far as I know.
Obviously, off the top of my head.
He makes transactions. If passion is lacking in your life, don’t get overexcited.
Sometimes you need u/spez to give you a couple more blows before you say “fuck it, fuck this”. It happened to me.
/sigh, I barely use it, and when I do, it pisses me off. I’ll try to remember this anyway, thanks.
Yeah, old.reddit is like a dam for users that will flow with the fediverse sooner or later.
Fortunately, if this shit keeps up, there are two other countries where to celebrate matches. Mexico is shaping up nicely for the World Cup, and tourism comes natural to our culture.
