That’s a great article, thanks. In his book, he just sticks to recursive descent parsers and doesn’t get into Pratt parsers, but I think it’s a great introduction to interpreters.

If you’re interested in this topic, I can highly recommend the book Crafting Interpreters.
great example of a code smell, too! JS needs to know about styles?
shouldn’t be styling in JS!
But what if I want to use JSSS?
I think that was Alito, not Roberts.
Because people believe the big lie, the doublespeak, the gaslighting. Whatever you want to call it.
Sens. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., who voiced support for the measure, were absent for the vote.
I guess this bill wasn’t that important.
Speaking of common criminals…
Sometimes the only way to find the tool you’re looking for is to create it yourself, share it on forums and wait for people to berate you and ask why you wouldn’t just use X.
It’s a time-honoured tradition.
This is not just a case of MIT vs GPL. Microsoft has violated the MIT licence.
They deleted the original copyright notice which is basically the only requirement of the MIT licence. The software is stolen.
Make sure to lodge a complaint with Microsoft about how their OS is incompatible with almost everything else.
Sorry, I’m having trouble keeping track.
He said he was being sarcastic.
Most communities allow editorializing in the post anyway, so not sure that it would be that let straightforward. i.e., someone is posting their opinion on something and they also give a link to a related article.
Rest assured, they are also planning tax cuts.
Recently introduced myself to OpenAPI/Swagger and it’s chock full of this. It’s painful.
I can’t remember off the top of my head, but your shell script might not be relaying the SIGTERM. Make sure you start your node process with the “exec” statement. This will replace the script’s process with node instead of having node be a subprocess of your script.
That’s why I use LILO.
Well… The original meme is in kbps (kilobits per second or kilobaud). The quoted speeds for the tech seem to line up with kbps and not kB/s, so I think this is the intent.
8 bits = 1 byte, so in this specific example it was very easy to convert 8 kbps to 1 kB/s to determine that it would take 8 seconds to download an 8 kB file.
Maybe secret300 meant a 8 kilobit file, they did use lowercase ‘b’ afterall 🙂.
I always appreciate a good Clone High reference.
