Is there any way to add it to App Library without adding it to the home screen? If there is, I don’t need the app at all, probably.

Yeah, I have a tab opened to check it out too, do they have any ios app?
There should be a special division in all patenting offices called Burning With Fire ™
I totally understand Jellyfin being recommended and praised so much. I guess if I will reconsider building a home server / media box etc. — this would be my first direction.
On the other hand, I know I am stubborn, being a minimalist is not helping in this situation. I just wish I could do as much as possible with simplest solutions on my PC and right now Jellyfin feels like an overkill, even Kodi does, if there would be a plugin for VLC to just let me go for play/pause vol up/down with xbox controller I would go for it and delete Kodi immediately.
Dang, I really felt that last sentence.
Yeah, so… For now, I feel like I am just stuck with Kodi, but I’ve found a really great theme that kinda helps me cope with that and makes the overall feeling much less clunky.
Maybe one day I will discover something better and more suited for me.
I am not that super interested in this because the hdmi connection stays anyway for playing some games…
I was reading about jellyfin and it would be great for me like 8 years ago, when I was still in my data hoarding phase.
What I am looking for now is more like Player + Library + Xbox controller as input on top of that. Oh… and subtitles support would be great.
Same unfortunately goes for a big chunk of the law on a global scale… Constant progress, new possibilities and technologies, changes in general are really outpacing some dusted and constantly abused solutions. Every second goes by and any “somehow still holding” relic is under more pressure. As a species we can have some really great ideas but the long-term planning or future-proofing is still not our strongest suit.
For over a decade now, I am fortunate enough to just let my body decide, so I go to sleep whenever I feel like I want to sleep and wake up whenever it happens…
Hours are funny tho, middle point is probably somewhere around 6, sometimes there are times when it is closer to 4, and less often but it happens, around 8.
From my observations and whenever I talk with anyone invested in their routines, it mostly boils down to quality over quantity. Shitty 9 or 10 hours might feel terribly unpleasant and 30 min power nap can do wonders sometimes.
I always believed to be the night owl until I discovered it can switch for me and then I figured out a new option of being a morning lark — I must say, both have some benefits actually but the whole day timetable changes dramatically.
Yeah, major bullet dodged there. Just when I started actually appreciating Figma and heard about the Adobe plans, I automatically felt like I just need to hate Figma to not get used to it too much — just in case.
Affinity is great and gets better, Figma stays great and gets better, for now at least, all fine with me. No Adobe logo anywhere in sight — good news for me.
Some say they are Nokias 3310 among laptops.
From all the people I knew that ever had them, they still have, very often still use and eventually compare any other / newer laptops with them.
This is vanilla iOS 15.7
This is me.
I would just wait for techmoan or crinacle to test it and explain what is what, probably some sort of a cash grab is the correct answer but… maybe?

That’s why falling in love is a very slippery road — in the emotional sense. If you fall, you will finally hit something, that’s how it works in nature.
Loving someone or building a solid relation based on love with someone is so much harder and not so automatic as falling, it requires committing and communicating — learning a difference is a key to not fall but to be more aware of the process and ones deeper emotions, especially someone else’s.
My guess is that’s why it is easier for so many people to love animals because they don’t fall in love with them, they just feel the love and act accordingly.
— Obviously, all this is a giant oversimplification because this is just a simple comment on the internet, not reality.
…with great form and a lot of style — no room for doubts here.
You might be missing quite a few points in general but I think, I can see where you are coming from…
Yet, there is, at least for me, a big difference in:
Apollo: oh we have some fun icons, people love them, maybe they would pay a little to unlock more and have fun with them, or even better, enjoy the premium subscription and have even more useful stuff
Reddit: well, other apps were selling shit like this and people loved it and payed money for it, we want that money, let’s block what we already have and see what will happen…
— yup, this sounds about right in my imagination
I dunno… why can’t Lemmy just be its own thing tho? I might’ve been using Reddit wrong or something but Lemmy feels so much better from the start for me.

At least if there is an interesting topic or a question I don’t have to scroll thru the same jokes or worse — joke trains, yeah sure, the beans happened, maybe I am getting too old to fully connect with the joke, whatever, but at least it is kinda self-contained, my wild guess would be if beans happened on Reddit, all the comments would be BEANS! for a month everywhere…

From a time perspective — I am really appreciating some amazing posts on Reddit with great histories and comments that I was reading for hours, some great AMAs or even the funny content if it was fresh.
With all this said, overall Reddit was mostly a really specific shit hole for me, yes, shit hole where occasional diamonds occurred but still. I can’t wrap my head around how imaginary internet points can distort even the most basic interactions.
Hey there! They are simply being inclusive, blind people are potential customers too and should not miss on any “opportunities”…
