There was a period early in reddit when it seemed more techy. Later on it became more mainstream with a shift towards people posting in a manner more similar to Facebook and Instagram sharing more personal pics and memes.

I was going to recommend android apps until I saw iOS. I don’t know anyones that let you keep a local subscription like newpipe does without needing to sideload. So if there are I’d be interested.

A cheap slim case I got for my Steam Deck so the side seams don’t get filled with gamer gunk. It also made the grips a little thicker so they felt more comfortable than without the case. And then some random joystick covers which provides some grip.

I find it fantastic for games with lot of side quests like jrpgs so I can utilize the suspend feature to make better progress with the portability and being able to stop whenever I want without losing progress. And then when it comes to the more cinematic main missions I might go and play on my PC with the TV display.

PC is an open platform though that allows for much better longevity when it comes to games scaling with future hardware without needing the approval of publishers pushing an update.

Console games are at the mercy of whether future consoles will have backwards compatibility and then new settings to meet expectations of future hardware. So physical is something I still prefer for console because I view console games more stuck in time due to so much being dependent on what is allowed. Don’t really have a long term view of consoles.
