They have had cases of people recording the police that dropped the evidence after the police lied about that interaction to convict them, and the people catching the police in a lie by recording get charged with that felony charge.

As an aside, the fruit from the poisoned tree has long been admitted into evidence through several pathways. One such end run is called parallel construction, they get illegal information, then find a legal way they can use it in court.

But they often don’t have to, long long ago the scotus said the evidence could be admitted if the police thought they were following the law. So they can plead stupid.

Nevermind the requirements that warrants, if they even bother with them, specify what they are looking for, before the 80s if they were looking for guns but found drugs that were not listed on the warrant, it was inadmissible, but now anything they find they can use.

If you are rich and have a lot of money you might be able to fight some of that, but for almost everyone, you are fucked.

How much more would I have to pay for a laptop to be able to play these games? My old laptop played them just fine, until the cooling fan broke. That was 500 dollars or so, but bought back 15 years ago before they cheaped out on everything more.

These laws should not exist in the first place. As OP suggested multiple times, it’s not about protecting kids, it’s about identifying everyone to everything they do online. No doubt so new tech can collect and sort and draw half baked conclusions from it all to give us secret social scores. That is what this is about.

You wouldn’t blow up your house, it’s not complicated, medieval Chinese did it, you can too, it would be expensive though. Unless you feel like digging 6 to 10 ft down into the Earth, which I have done and is not fun. However, if you can get explosives, that changes everything about getting down that far. You still need a tank, an old fuel oil tank might work even though.

While I don’t know what that means, I did read that when using whatsapp in a bloc where the government has control of the telecommunications, they can see who is messaging who by seeing someone sent and someone received a message at the exact same time. Probably is the same for other encrypted messaging apps. Reported in The Intercept.

I was saying a lot of questionable luigi mangione related things after that happened, I couched it all, never came right out saying anything, but that might have caught up with me. That was several accounts ago but they can tell it’s you still I hear tell even though I use temporary email to sign up.

In rural china their farms traditionally have one, like a tank they route sewage and scraps and whatever, and they pipe off the gasses for cooking and heating and such, as it produces methane and the like.
