  • Same here. I really tried using KDE as Fedora and Nobara were pushing for it with HDR, fractional scaling and variable refresh rates available. But there are so many useless options that seem to over-complicate everything.

    I always go back to Gnome especially now that the missing technologies were added with 47 and 48. I just need my 2 extensions (DashtoDock, Just Perfection) setup via Nix and Home-manager.

    also: Libadwaita > QT in terms of looks and usability.

    Also: what’s up with the fake browsers? How difficult us it to setup a local webserver, setup a hosts entry and use a real browser to open the webpage? Or open a static webpage via file:// protocol. I find it more effort to “program” a fake browser with complete interface…


  • The accusation by Bryan is out there, its detailed and looks profounded - there is no response from SUSE anywhere and this seems to follow the described pattern in the accusation of not talking about it. So as of now the public opinion is that the accusation was not withdrawn and is still standing. Not talking about it won’t make it go away for anyone.
