Yep, sure. I’m okay with that. It makes more sense that someone else buys the company than to throw it in the trash, but regardless I don’t see how “they make good products” is an excuse for the manipulation of our government on the scale they’ve engaged in.

If more corporations faced the death penalty for the shit they pull they’d be way less likely to pull it. (To be clear I’m referring to the company being sold and/or the leaders going to jail, depending on the offense, not literally executing the heads of corporations)

One can make really good products and still be such unmitigated cunts that they should lose that business altogether.

They’ve spent insane amounts of money lobbying the government to keep poor AF people easily able to be tricked into paying for their tax return all while advertising a hard to find free service. Paying people we pay for with our tax dollars so that more of our hard earned cash can flow into their pockets. And if they spent insane amounts to keep it that way you know full well they’re making that amount back and then some. Off of us.

This is the comment I had a problem with, not yours. Thomas isn’t being “targeted” , he’s having huge scandals break. He isn’t being targeted alone the scandals of his peers have broken years ago (the ones that have broken thus far anyway, I’m sure there’s more we don’t know about yet). And those scandals were widely discussed at the time they broke.

Why would there be current articles about the other justices when we don’t have current scandals for them? That’s why I say the dude (not you, you’re good) was trying to change the topic.

The crimes or corruption of a dead guy, and Kavanaugh whose corruption was widely discussed before and during and after his confirmation, don’t warrant changing the topic away from crimes and corruption freshly unearthed about Thomas.

I love unions, unions are great, more people should be in them. Just not cops. If all they were doing was fighting for better hours and pay I’d have no problem (acab aside), but police unions go to bat for violent cops who hurt people. Police unions fight to keep those violent cops in those positions of authority, paid by our tax dollars, with a gun, on the streets where their next potential victim waits.

That’s a problem for me.

The police dept is already loathe to hold officers accountable, we don’t need a whole ass union protecting cops from people who already don’t want to hurt them.

There are all kinds of people with various dog training/skills in this world who take in dogs with problems from not being safe around small animals, or other dogs, or kids, or men, or women, etc.

I’m sure it wouldn’t be too hard to find people qualified and willing to take on this kind of dog “problem” (the dog did what it was trained to do, I’m not sure why that would be a problem necessarily. If it attacks someone outside of it’s training then I’d be with you).

Hell throw in special training and some kind of state/local tax break for anyone willing and able to sign up for retired police dog owning.

It’s not that he was “entitled” to money, it’s that money would have made taking his handle less of a dick move. Elon is a multi billionaire, he could have thrown a tens of thousands of dollars at this dude and had a good PR situation for his generosity, and not even noticed the dip in his bank account. Instead the story is that he’s an asshole who treats his users like shit if they have something he wants.

God I’m sick of these frail old people who only have half their brain functionality, who are so incredibly out of touch with the average American due to decades and decades of being a high ranking politician, who won’t live long enough to even see what they’ve done to the world, let alone have to experience the suffering they’ve caused, still running this damned country instead of stepping aside for a younger generation.

And yes, I know, young conservatives aren’t any better. But they’re also less entrenched, they still have time to change their minds on things, they WILL live to see the destruction conservative policies will bring. So I also encourage others to do the same, but I don’t look down on anyone for not voting.

I feel like this is where you meant to put your energy, since you said you DO look down on people who don’t vote but do complain. But we need both kinds of people in the world. Some people respond better to patience, others to a kick in the butt. You’re both doing it right as long as you’re both trying to convince people to vote.
