What’s Plex’s use case? Why not just mpv locally?
Based on opensuse’s docs, it seems to be in permissive state, whereas on my Fedora by default:
$ selinuxenabled && echo yup
yup
$ getenforce
Enforcing
Not sure if the warm fuzzy feelings I get from this are justified (like what are the actual applied rules on apps? I have no idea), but it is a bit warmer and fuzzier.
I’ve been wondering about a similar change, or possibly to Arch. What I’m still wondering about is security: Fedora has Selinux enabled all over the system, and Opensuse and Arch do not. Anyone know what level of risk this mitigates?
I’ve used local hard drives from like 1992 and I have never ever gotten them to overheat.
Not Lemmy though. Based.
I’d like to like KDE but every time I use it there’s a bunch of minor cuts. Instability.
Might be that you really don’t need VMs but just lightweight namespace containers. If so, you can use docker/podman, systemd-nspawn or various other tools. The overhead will be less than 1% if you stay within the same architecture as your host.
Wayland is not experimental.
I’ve been trying to sell mine. Went down to 60% of the original price and no takers.
My tip: Don’t take funny-colored borders or funny keyboards unless you’re 120% sure you don’t want to sell it in half a year.
Yes, because nobody (including you) is probably going to do it better: https://www.theguardian.com/news/oliver-burkeman-s-blog/2014/may/21/everyone-is-totally-just-winging-it
I never managed to like Witcher 3. I don’t quite understand why people love it so much.
Cyberpunk 2077 was ok though.
Warren Buffett maybe? At least I haven’t heard him be much of an asshole.
Gabe Newell is a billionaire and as far as I know awesome.
And Rings of Power is the best Tolkien adaptation.
because it’s all they have
I’m not quite sure you fully understand what you said here, given your surrounding arguments. Nintendo literally cannot exist if they allow emulators without becoming just another Sony/Microsoft. And they cannot realistically compete against those two.
If that’s true, it’s more than money. If you take money from the mafia and don’t deliver, it’s about your life. That could be one of the many reasons he tried to back away from the purchase. I don’t get why CIA isn’t all over this.
And it’s not just about the election. They’re trying to destablisize everything in the west.
I guess you’re referring to the part I edited out where I said that there doesn’t seem to be any evidence that life is supposed to be easy. I don’t think that contradicts humans trying to make life easy.
But it seems to me that a lot of meaning is derived from being at the limit of what is impossible or at least difficult, and staying at the level of easy makes people depressed and unhappy.
Shouldn’t the third panel just be empty?
